Sorry but no 4.3.1 will arrive. It will be 4.3 but still no one knows what is included in the next update.

I was assessing if the next flagship will be revealed by February on MWC with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat onboard, we can get the upgrade by March or April, showing new features and overhauled Sony Flow UI.

^probably a question to ask in the rumor thread

and the 2nd firmware update after the main 4.3 update is for both Z1 and ZU.. so doubtful there's any camera improvements in that.

as I said, if there is a major camera boost coming, i think it'd be a Z1 only update.

@moogoo the last big update for both the Z1 and Z Ultra .257 (I think) had camera improvements according to the change log so this new firmware may have the same just a few more tweaks for the Z1 camera and the usual bug fixes than what the Z Ultra may receive only time will tell though.

Confirmation of the change log on a previous update to the Z1 and Z Ultra as you will see the Z1 was given a camera algorithm revamp. Who know the same may happen in the next firmware rollout.

yea.. i see your point.

but to see the kind of improvement we're all hoping for, i think it'll be a Z1 specific update. not one that comes in tandem with a ZU one.. if that makes sense.

Ah but is anything 5 inches and over also considered a phablet?? Z1 is large for what you call a normal smartphone

I consider a phablet over 5 (except LG G2 for his dimensions) inches yes..
Note, 1520, HTC One MAX, ZUltra, Galaxy Mega...
the dimensions of normal smartphones this year has shifted from 4-4.6 inches to 5 inches..
look at S4, G2, nexus 5, Z1, Z and a lot of other phones! 5''

look here

Still all these I mentioned are Smartphones so (hipotethically) in the same league... i was just joking
