In the above video you can see a good Z1 has as good viewing angles as HTC One or Z Ultra, and head on is better than both. You also get to see the Z in the video for a few seconds and you can notice how washed out it looks compared to Z1 and HTC One due to of course the pathetic viewing angles

Sorry, but here even at light theme viewing angle at Z1 much worse than HTC one. I never saw Z1 with good viewing angles. No one picture or video. |

This is a good example of z1 with great screen. Unfortunately, this is not the screen i saw in Dubai.

That's a fantastic comparison! Lol!
It shows Z1 beeing f**ktastic in the end. Despite some artifacts it closely follows 1020.
And beats hell out of G2 and shockingly, S4Zoom as well.

No, the screen is not good in that video. Z1 can't compete to the Z Ultra screen. Look at the horrible colors from viewing angles.
And look to the HTC how the screen is stunning!!

I agree. Sony uses same panel in Z1 like in Z, they just have different software optimization...

Sony are a joke when it comes to screens, people will just not buy them, the same screen should be in every model and the same should be at least as good as the Ultra's screen. |

I think Sony's JPEG engine nailed it on this sample (with the latest firmware)

not as noisy as the previous samples from the previous firmware, and best of all not looking like an oil -paint like the Z's.
it's still not as perfect as HX50v's but I think this one is pretty good already
