BTW I think all screen talks should stop now. An XDA developer received his Z1 yesterday (Retail model) and this is what he has to say. He owns Z Ultra as well
I have both devices XZU and XZ1 both have the same displays. And my Z1 is the first one available.

Anyway, for what it is worth, the screens I have seen really looked great, including viewing angles, altough I could not care less about viewing angles on a phone, I have a wrist that automatically corrects the phone angle in real time for me.

So you try to prove me wrong by linking me to Sonys TVs mentioning quantum dots. Isnt that exactly what i said? Or maybe you lack reading comprehension?
As for being ashamed thats ironic coming from a guy who chose a screenname that could be mistaken for unknown13x in order to boost his credibility here. You dont have any affiliation to Sony so enough with the appeal to authority argument
You have idea wether or not Sony is using Quantum dot technology, you have no idea wich panels Sony is using, you have no idea even if what DACHA said is false or truth. I dont however go out and attack the people i disagree with, your opinion is as valid as mine.

How hard is it to make a point without insulting one another? This Thread becomes less interesting to read by the second...

Good to hear. I really hope this screen lottery stops now. I was winner with xperia S (really amazing screen with awesome viewing angles) and a loser with xperia Z. |

Lol. For the record, I created the account first and have no knowledge of unknownx13. I'm not trying to proud or what, but I treat my credibility seriously.
And speaking about credibility: I'm the one gave the world the first ever render of Xperia ZL.
I got to see Honami much earlier and even did a sketch for you esatoians.
And mind you, I'm the one who leaked the Xperia Z1 press release. Can you match my credentials?
It is obvious you're trying to inject subtle anti-Sony sentiments by creating theories. Theories like I think Sony might be cheating with the triluminos technology.
Don't worry. Whatever the case, Sony's sales is raising and my credibility is much greater than yours.

The screen is not as good as XZU obviously. Many Chinese users have got the devices and none reported XZU-equivalent screen.
Most users are satisfied with the front view but the wash-out issue does exist when the viewing-angle increases.
I donot think the screen on internationwl units would be better. |

@milukugiuniu (i tried so hard to get your name right.. damn man! pick something easier) that depends on what you would consider "good" XZU has great color and great viewing angles. That is uncontested. but from various comparison vids, it seems Z1 has BETTER colors/contrast than XZU (i.e., having whiter whites) while sacrificing viewing angles a bit. In my opinion, that makes it a better screen. but that's cause i couldn't care less bout viewing angles.

You didnt answer the question. Are you affiliated to Sony or not? We both know the answer to that wich is why you dodged it.
And i never said Sony is "cheating" with Triluminos, i said its a software enhancement. Did i say that was worse or better? Its fairly obvious you are utterly clueless about the subject wich is why it got you all agitated. QLED is simply a more efficient way of boosting color gamut instead of having to calibrate at the factory and then again prior to launch. But its not better or worse in terms of color gamut. It makes sense to use QLED for a TV. And i only used Apple as an example, dont get your panties in a bunch, how about the new Nexus 7 wich also uses software calibration, does this make me a Google fanboy now?

Vaio Pro 11 with Triluminos screen, they boosted color gamut even more simply by calibrating the screen.
If anything fans like you are the worst thing that could happen to Sony, all you want to do is fawn over them rather than point out flaws to help them improve future products. We saw how that ended up for the Nokia fanboys

Alright guys and girls(if any). Why the long quotes? Does this thread need to be locked for some hours during the days? No. Please be cool.
