Hi everyone, just got myself a P800
Just wondered if anyone noticed this ...
I have removed my flip as it looks ugly and enabled the virtual flip. All is fine but when the screensaver appears, it is not able to display full screen as the virtual flip does not auto-hide? Is there a work around to this? I would like very much to utilise the full screen for screensavers ....

our only other option is to enable the screen saver lock...

no la ... using screensaver lock doesnt allow me to perform keylock immediately (when not using virtual or actual flip). Still need to wait for screensaver to kick in after sometime before screen is locked ...

With the "full screen viewer" app, any pic can be full screen, but annimated gif screensavers tend to be small & centralised.
but no screen lock is available, if using any full screen mode on the p800 no lock is available, i think it would become anoying to have an auto lock coming on in PDA mode, and if it was a manual switched lock then you might aswell just activate the flip.

Patchy,

My point is that I would ideally like to be able to lock my phone, and when the screensaver pops up, it is full screen rather than being blocked by the virtual flip image. And i am not willing to use the flip because it looks (and I think most pple agree) ugly ...

I agree. I don't use the keypad but I would like to activate the keylock without having to use the virtual keypad. Maybe It's possible to write a program that does that...
I also miss a clock on the sceensaver, just like the T68 has.

SE had a problem giving you this feature didn`t they, because if you could lock the screen with full screensaver & no virtual keyboard on screen, HOW would you unlock it because the screen would`nt be active.
The only way to unlock it for use would be a combination of jog moves to get the virtual keypad back on screen, further complicating the options of jog actions.
SE would prefer the unlocking procedure to involve jog AND screen moves, to avoid accidental unlocking.

I see you point, but it could be a combination of the jog-dial and the internet button or camera button. Or maybe the on-off button...

Couldn't they design it such that when the screensaver kicks in, the virtual keypad auto-hides ... very much like how the task bar works for windows? And when u need to unlock, touch the screen again and the virtual keypad reappears?

@concatinate, your last sentance is the contradiction that i`m pointing out, with the screen "locked" touching the screen by definition should have no effect, because it`s supposed to be locked isn`t it

Just enable device lock. Under Power>>setting you can lock your device including the key immediately with full screen wallpaper of even screen saver.
