Why are you saying that the price is ridiculous? It's only 100zl more expensive than Xperia Z was when it launched and with Z ultra you get the magnetic charger. Remember about 23% VAT, if you discount it its more like 560 euros.
And it's not coming late, remember that at this time Ultra was released only in asian countries and it is supposed to come to europe in september so everything is going according to the plan. It'll probably land with the 'final' firmware that includes new UI and X-reality engine.
So I wouldn't say that honami will take ages before it becomes available in Poland, at worst few days after major markets.
I mean honami not ultra, the ZU for Europe was meant for September so it is not late. I was hoping the price would be around 2400 or so, so perhaps by november or december it will drop to that amount. |

Still don't get what you meant.
At first you imply that ZU comes late cause it's supposed to be available from 9th of September just like it was announced it would and then you say that Honami will probably take ages to get to Poland? If Sony announces that Honami will be available from November then considering their past records (Z and Z Ultra) I'd say that Poland gets their devices along with other european markets.
How come you expected more powerful and more premium device than Z come cheaper than Z when it was announced? Considering that you get more with it than you got with Z when it launched I'd say that this price is quite normal for official distribution. |

I did not say the ultra was late, I just mentioned it will be available on the 9th of September. My next sentence was regarding honami not the ultra, once it (honami) will be announced at IFA, it will take a while before it (honami) becomes available for purchase at a store or online for shipping the next day or 2 days, not pre order. Sony always had this problem with debuting a product early and then shipping it months later sometimes up to 6 months later. Perhaps they learned their lesson and have decided to ship it earlier now.
As for the price it is rather simple, the ultra lacks 2 main items, first a built in stylus like the note has and second no flash on the back. Sure you can buy the new lens addons that will debut at IFA but I doubt many people will be able to afford the phone and then have cash left over for a 300-500 dollar lens accessory. I personally don't feel the ultra is worth the 2899 price.

In your sentence you implied that due to Z Ultra's availability Honami would come very late to Poland, which is pure speculation without any kind of proof, ZU comes as planned so if Sony decides that Honami will be available from 1st of October then we should ready our wallets for 1st of October. Recently they're very accurate when it comes to release dates across different regions.
As for the price
You get bigger and better screen, bigger battery, newest possible SoC, flapless 3,5mm jack, better waterproofness and additional magnetic charger so you don't have to open microUSB flap and you're saying that it's not worth 100zl more than Xperia Z when it premiered? Not to mention few details that make it very tempting device.
I think that this is typical case of different taste 
For me ZU is worth this kind of money but I bought Z 6 months ago so I'm 'out of the game' for another 18 months or so. But if they improve on the design in next 18 months maybe I'll decide to buy a bigger device next time. |

I'm so happy that Sony releasing updates is quite fast.
Updated my Ultra and it has now xreality, mini keyboard and the side menu at application screen.
My ultra seems more snappy and i love the screen more now!
