I'm not sure if it's allowed to change your vote. At first I thought "sure, why not". On second thought, it makes it complicated. Third thought, if you just changed the name in your other vote-post I wouldn't know.
As you want to change your vote to my photo I can't decide. Anyone any ideas???

Well, if you can change your photo for the competition, then it only makes sense to be able to change your vote?? |

My vote goes to hihihans
About changing votes, I think it is not allowed. You have only 3 days for voting and in that also you want to change the vote???
about hihihans third thought,

One would definitely come to know about the change. To change the vote, you need to edit your post and ESATO will show that you have edited your post. But above all, one should show some honesty from their side.

My main concern would be whether a comment or disagreement after voting has started influences someone's vote.
I don't think vote changing should be allowed and if someone wants to change their vote they should have thought more carefully before casting so hastily.
BUT, it's next to impossible to properly police, the 'post edited at' time stamp doesn't what was edited, only that it has been edited. So we have to rely on honesty and sharp eyes.
If (like this month I suspect) votes are wanting to be changed because of validity of the theme, that is up to the theme host to decide whether a photo should be allowed (which should be decided before voting starts to allow the photographer to re-enter). If the host says it's go then it fits the theme and should be judged.
Of course, with any rules there is room for exceptions but I can't think of any right now.

Thanks for your opinions. I'll go with the "Not allowed". I can't see what is edited in a reply, could be a typo. Therefore there are no consequences if you do. I trust you won't take advantage of this.
My vote this month is the open view of tranced

Change the vote should be allowed, as long as the voting time does not ends yet.
u can change the picture, why not change the vote.

I must admit, I find hihihans shot completely uninspiring. As ive explained in previous months, im not a big fan of manufacturing a false scene to fit the competition. But sadly, that has always been allowed. I wouldn't say its the best by far in this thread. No offense to hihihans of course, but I find peoples voting rather narrow minded given the amount of votes thus far.
My entry is very "open", as is other peoples. My vote goes to tranced as like mine and another entry or two, the open countryside vista in front of me is a better image which required more thought than just sticking a few objects together. I don't mind not winning, but when people put effort into their images and careful thought and planning and yet a fabricated scene is put together, it kind of puts people off wanting to enter next month.
@ alenn - as far as im concerned you can change your vote from mine to another entry if you consider mine poorer. No offense but if you find it better than mine or other peoples, we wont want your vote.

Honestly, I wanted to change my vote because only Hihihans's shot was the closest to the theme...
I apologize to everyone that was offended and it will not happen again.
I'm gonna put more time in that regard.
See ya. |
