Holly crap.... it even makes coffee!!!
Ericsson engineers did it once more... specs speaking, this phone rocks. The bad thing is that, its a phone for 2004.... not for this year... no UMTS you see...

Well actually the "small" greyscale display has the same resolution as the T68 display. Which means that it isn't that small... |

I know a lot of you guys from Europe don't like the clamshell design but in Asia (especially) and in USA there are many people who appreciate this kind of design. I admire SE to market a phone like Z1010, it will aquire a lot of customers in other countries besides Europe. Since Nokia do not have any GSM clamshell phones in the market. I think this is a great move for SE |

then you know i'm sorry! then if you look at the area around the 101x80 screen you can imagine how big the phone is....just take a look at your own phone....

GREAT!!! A perfect design. Compare with Nokia and Motorola 3G-phones this is superb. The Nokia and Motorola 3G-phones are larger than bricks and wheighs approx. 160 g. Anybody have some mesaurements or battery info?

The fact that the small display has the same resolution as the T68, doesn't necessarily means it has the same physical size.... |

Looks nice, even though I don't really like clamshell phones. But the features seems good...
And long range Bluetooth (100m)... great

Look pretty good. The main thing I like about a flip-style/clam-shell case is that you can close it to protect the large screen inside.
Now the only problem is waiting for 3G in the US. GSM is just starting to take hold here, so it will probably be a while until we see a 3G network capable of supporting that phone. |

i wonder the connector used in std SE phone will be kept in this 3G mobile.
after reading the presentation and the look of the phone, it seem like those Sony Phone used to be sold only in Japan.....maybe this is a phone based on the FOMA (Japan 3G ) design guide line...I heard NTT have a guide line for all manufacturer to produce phone for their network.
Maybe SE follow the guide line and add support of GSM network to come up with Z1010....my wild guess only. |

Ok, no one bite me for this cuz I'm only guessing here...
Judging by the size of the "small" screen on the cover (T68i size)
I'm guessing that this thing is about the size of the Sony Clie NZ90, albeit a bit thicker.
That's huge! Small by 3G standards (Just like the R190/R290 are small for satellite standards) I was hoping it would be a bit smaller than the P800... but oh well... can't have it all the 1st time around can we?
I actually saw this model a few weeks ago, it wasn't red though, I saw an all black model... I'm not sure if it was on CNN or BBC. I guess SE is not starting to show their REAL phones. The P800 was just a "teaser" phone. There will be more phones to come in the next 2-3 weeks. |
