Work Disaplinary |

I fear that I might be called in for a disaplinary meeting on Monday. I have failed to link the colours of products on the website several times, and also failed to do so on Friday.
I hate the fact that I put the hours in and do everything for the company apart from this one task that I can never get right.
I put in 12 hours overtime last week and had to deal with an unreasonable workload, yet I am still feeling that this will happen.
It will be my ex-manager who has just been removed, that will try and push for this disaplinary meeting.
If I was to resign after the meeting because I thought it was unfair, would they then treat me like sh@@ for the 4 weeks.
We are really understaffed and I think the directors like me, but I am still dreading a disaplinary.
I am a nice guy, but I take everything to heart.

Start the talking first thing in the morning. If you start with apologies and tell them straight away about why/how/what you leave them no room to complain.
Whenever I make a mistake at work and I can't fix it. I tell right away. That way they can take action to keep the customer as happy as possible.
I'll be called "stupid" but that's all.

Thanks for that. I will speak to both my manager and former manager first thing.

Legally you are to be given at least 24 hours notice of a disciplinary meeting and this must be in writing, so nothing can legally take place on Monday aside from you receiving the notice.
I you are to face a disciplinary, get all your facts together, if you cannot complete a task successfully, why not. Is there a training issue. Once said and done it could all be turned round and the company could be failing. Ensure that you can back up all your claims, training record and the such like.
I know it is easier said than done, but there is no need crying over spilt milk so try and chill and you never know, it may never get as far as worried about.
