I didn't update in the end, just before flashing I realised the FW I downlaoded was for the LTE Tablet Z, not the WiFi Tablet Z which I have.

I did have a quick read though some observations on xda though. It looks like multi-user function is available (finally), performance has been improved, and there are UI changes to make it look more like the phone UI e.g. centred back/home/tasks buttons, status bar at the top and quick settings in the notifications menu (like on the handset).

I wonder also if it comes with the split left and right notifications that was seen on Nexus 10.

I'll write up a review when I eventually get my hands on the FW.

Update finally came in the Philippines the other day.

Quite a few changes. Most obvious one being the notification bar has been moved to the top.

More detailed report on my blog.

That sucks, take it back and have Sony replace it. Which shop did you purchase it from? All side-lit screens will show some slight uneven lighting but it shouldn't be that severe.

I bought it from fonestyle at SM Calamba and it has the official warranty
I'm afraid that they will send it to the service center, which is in MOA instead of being replaced
One day replacement sucks... It should be at least one month

^Sheesh one day replacement? Even CD-R King has one week replacement period. That's also suspicious, though.

LOL at the one week replacement of CDR king but they do honor it even if they sell those cheap products at CDR king, although you're gonna have to insist first before they do replace it

@juris15

they really said one day replacement? that's quite the ripoff, it's usually one week replace, well at least in my experience when I bought a phone but it was in memoexpress in Sta. Rosa (afaik there's also memoexpress at SM Calamba). Although I fear if you return it saying there is backlight bleed I think they'll say your device is working perfectly fine and it needs not to be replaced

That sounds very fishy.

Even grey market vendors give 3 days replacement.

Official Sony stores give 1 week replacement + optional insurance (includes water damage and smashed screen)

**Update Aug 12, 2013**

Two of my apps have developed glitches since the 4.2.2 update:
-PowerAmp (Themes no longer work)
-Talking Calendar (App works in background but can't open app to change settings)

I already sent a msg on sony mobile PH facebook but still no reply... I really don't know what to do... I'm just waiting for sony's reply before going back to the store because I'm still busy with my studies...

^Yep, there's a fonestyle store in SM Southmall, too, with the same sign. Tried calling Sony Mobile Center?
