Since upgrading from. 4.2.2 I think 4.3 is worse. The battery life is atrocious, the swype keyboard is hopeless, NFC does not connect properly. I also have call issues, while on a call it cuts off, but also while on a call it turns on wifi, bluetooth and NFC. I have never had issues before this is the first time and its annoying. I really hope 4.4 sorts out the bugs because this is irritating!

So for over a week on kitkat and life is good with the updated Z. Battery life is better in my mind than 4.3. Keyboard much better with swype. 4.3 was horrendous with swype. This is like 4.2.2 which is a good thing. Wifi issue with throw is fixed, connects immediately which is great!.

Just one tiny bug just a little slow sometimes when opening app drawer and pull down notification.

I do strongly recommend that you do a factory data reset when installed. Its hopeless of you don't.
Of course do your normal back up etc before doing this.

Yeah I also expirienced a slow but constant improvement in behaviour trough first week after update.
With two weeks using it I may now say that 4.4.2 on Z is absolutely great update - even without forced GPU from Developer Menu.
The only issue I had that annoyed me trough first couple of days was the slight delay of background appearence after turning on the device which is gone now and I use live background which some people had problems running.
First two days was not good at all - but I wait for KitKat to get settled and it turnes out to be the right thing to do.
Everything is now smooth, fast and power-efficient enough and also the disgusting bug that didin`t turned off the screen trough a phone call in 4.3 is gone now! Actually I don`t have any bugs after two weeks of usage.

I am very very happy with Z on 4.4.2. even though I forced updating it immediately hoping to destroy my Z and going for a new phone earlier ... but now I`ll be waiting for Z3C.

Is there anybody in India who got the 4.4.2 update? PC companion says that I have the latest version.

Does anyone know if newer batches still have that issue that makes the back of the phone to come off? I read on XDA that every XZ has this issue. I'm tempted to buy this phone as it has a good price and I think it looks great, but this issue really turns me down.

Seems to be the last update for the trusty Z, a good swansong for it plus 4.4.2 is very buggy!!

A friend his Z is blocked by McAfee.
He just did a restart.
Every restart pops this block up.
??????
Is there a universal code?
