If you have noticed back glass lift, I would not take it in the shower anymore. I'm not kidding, my phone is dead.

The battery performace is very bad with the new update. The battery is draining away like anything even if the phone is not used, i.e. screen is off. I don't know how this update says it has battery enhancements!!! As per the battery usage, "Android OS" is using more than 30% of the battery. Before this update, I used to get a good battery life. Any suggestions?

It's better for me too, though Android System still uses a very high % of it.
Currently NExus 4, but want Xperia ZR.

It seems Sony has reversed the effect of .569 update with the .101 update. I did not have any battery problems in .569 update.

Those who had battery problems in .569 fix are happy with .101 fix and vice versa &

STRANGE.

On both .569 and .101 I have a great batt life.
No issues. The standby is amazing.

I also have some draining but nothing major still the battery with 4.2 was enough for more then 5hours of screen time and now hardly get 4:30h.

More of a concern is the strange bug that ocasionally didn`t turn-off the screen during a call... It`s annoying.
I also didn`t like the camera interface - settings is not intuitive as before.

I'm on .559 and the battery life is fantastic.

However, I seem to have picked up a Wifi hotspot bug. If I turn on the Hotspot, it connects OK and maintains the connection to the tethered laptop but soon the data throughput stops and I can only get it working again by having a data hungry app active on the phone itself, eg, Tune-In, running.

It's like the data connection goes to sleep after the while. But if I open a browser on the phone, for instance, and refresh the page then the data connection on my tethered laptop becomes active again. Strange.

I had decent battery life on the previous version but so far battery life seems pretty good on .101 thus far for me. Phone usually lasts 1.5-2days depending on usage

Hi Tranced

Well, I sent it away two weeks ago for repair and they told me that it is covered by the warranty and will be repaired but they said they needed to wait for parts. The last I heard was on Monday when they said the parts had arrived and it should be ready yesterday, so I guess it should be showing up at my house any day now!

I'm keen to see what exactly they have done because from my experience, a dead phone is a dead phone!

Just had the .101 update through. Installing as I type.

@Muhammad-Oli

That's the impression I was under. How do they resurrect a 'dead' phone? It almost seems more trouble than it's worth but I guess they just replace a part of the board. I've seen them disassemble one on youtube so I guess they know what they're doing.
