One could remove the buttons from the flip....
This would of course ruin the flip..
How much does a flip cost?
One could cut of the pins. That way it would at least look intact..

just reviving this topic coz i asked the same question on my forum and the answer came back without which suprised me
just removed the flip and TBH prefer it on so i'm going to put it back. too scared i'll break the screen without it even though there is the flip pin problem, but surely that would be covered under warranty anyway as a build fault rather than using insurance if it broke.

I'm using mine with the flip, for protection of course.
A second reason is that when you make a call with the flip removed the screen gets really dirty from touching the skin. |

I actually like the look with the keyboard on, makes it easier to use one handed & does help protect the screen (but I do handle it with much love & care ) |

I have mine P800 from december, and did use it with the keypad, but with the long time of use with the keypad, u will get some scratch from the key, for example you press alot of buttion 2, the u will get the scratch under it. I perfer to use it without keypad. and buy a screenprotector, The best way to protect screen |

I tried it without the keypad for a day but found the virtual keypad annoying. Although the P800 looks far better without the flip, like others I think it provides a small degree of protection and like the fact that I know it's locked when I close the flip. |

I prefer flip on, but oftentimes when interacting with the phone i find myself wishing i could remove the flip, then again, IMHO the phone just looks cooler with it's flip on. |

Flip off.I can text even inside the bank because security guards don't know what this is without a flip..They'll never ask me to turn off my cellphone before entering again!!Hehehe
