Well I know Gorilla glass is not completely shatter proof. But I've never heard of a phones glass breaking in temperatures. Maybe in Antarctic

I must admit its a little hard to believe from a phone point of view, especially with so many glass iPhones out there from 2010 onwards.

Anyway time will tell and we'll see what happens when people actually get their hands on the phone since its been sold out for so long now.

Glass shouldn't do that anyway that would be like the windows on a house not withstanding weather temperatures. Crazy

Let's first appreciate what glass is ... a liquid in suspension form. Now let's appreciate there are many types of glass for various use cases. Old buildings with what looks like a "sheet" glass for windows cracks very easily with sudden winter to thaw temperature changes. Condo's in downtown Toronto are being refitted with new glass (for new buildings finished in 1yr or less) because glass windows (some 7-14feet high) are breaking at random and falling down to side walks: luckily NOBODY has been hurt thus far.

Remember this is CORNING glass being used. Originally designed by an engineer for ballistic missiles and then used in CorningWare Inc (a subsidiary recently sold off some 14yrs ago) in cookware. I have just bought two pots and a skillet by CorningWare and I can assure you extreme care must be considered when using these Glass cookware: never place hot pot onto cool surfaces right from the fire that disperse heat unevenly (ceramic does a good job), or place in cold water - cracks breaks will occur and very few cases of shattering occurs.

I see NO difference in Gorilla Glass I/II.

I'll be able to tell you guys all about it as I've finally been able to order!

16GB version, shipping expected in 1-2 weeks!

But no bumper as they are completely out of stock now (even though they were in stock throughout the time the phone wasn't!)

Heh, and still the shortages of this phone plague the thing !!

This is why you dont partner with LG for hardware or software. No investment.

Yes, she arrived. My precious!

Beautiful phone, by far the best Android hardware out there, both quality and design in my opinion.

I'm no photographer so the camera is fine for me, and its definitely a step up from the Gnex... Camera quality is quite far down the feature list for me so I'm not the best person to ask or comment...

I'm really impressed with the hardware though, Android devices have never felt this premium... I've had many, from the Hero to the Desire and more recently the Gnex and S3... This device is quality...

Running CM10.1 and Franco kernel and its an absolute beast, battery life has been great also...

But I'm definitely looking out for what Google has up their sleeve with MM and 'Phone X'!

The features & quality of applications increasing exponentially every 6mths, their increasingly taking up storage space on our smartphones. The demand for larger storage or expandable storage will only increase along with it. I originally thought I'd be ok with Nexus 4 16GB but now I'm not so sure - along with media (5GB of preferred music playlists, 2GB in preferred photos ~ streaming does help here, costs neglible ~ but movies/recordings along with video podcasts would leave my device full).

Still contemplating Nexus 4 or Xperia TX.

This is why im glad i got a GS3 32GB and then got a 32GB MicroSD on top, ive split my memory. The 32GB thats built-in is for Camera pics and vids, Downloads, Apps and Games, while the 32GB MicroSD is for Music, Vids, Movies, Documents and back-up. Anything less than 32GB is too little these days, IMO.
