@randomuser: You said South America will get Yuga. I'm happy with that, as I live in Brazil and not everything comes to here. You also said it will have 4G. Does that will include the Brazilian variant? I mean, we use 2,5 GHz for 4g (which will take a good while to get to my city, but anyway), and 4G is still on testing. Plans to release on biggest cities by start of next year, I think.
The thing is: does it will have a 4G LTE 2,5 GHz version for Brazil?
Please, reforcing what I asked.
I don't get people. Never Have, never will. |

I believe that one bright day in the near future Sony will no longer be part of our everyday life. Hopefully.
Haha.
You're pretty funny. Ever tried to become a comedian?
That will likely never happen. Even if Sony bow out of Consumer electronics, they still have massive arms in the entertainment industries and are a colossal player in the Imaging sector. So even if Sony stop making smartphones, they'll find a way into your life in some way, probably through music, movies, cinemas, smartphones and other things. |

@XYZ I second your comment abt Sony's entertainment business...
Sony holds the highest market share in the Hollywood for the year 2012... Even WB, Buena Vista(Disney) are behind them...

I'm also interested in what software enhancements Yuga and the 2013 range will come with. Yuga seems to have all the bases covered hardware wise, fast, tough, waterproof, great design and great internals. There is nothing much else to wish for.

To be honest, they could have gone with NovaThor A9600 with its Dual Core A-15 CPU and PowerVR Series 6 GPU. Given how the PowerVR SGX54xMPx are the most powerful mobile GPU's around more powerful than even then Adreno 320, it wouldn't be a stretch to think that Series 6 would sit on top for the next few years too.
If they can get that in any one of their top-tier smartphones and tablets, they'll definately have the nerds on their side. Especially given their willingness to support the AOSP. |

Indeed, sadly they will never beat Samsung with qualcomm. They can aim for second place though. Next year Samsung will release s4 with 1080p amoled and quad a15. Adreno 320 has been a real disappointment

Post by Mr.Ambroos from XDA forum...
"The guys at Google already had their hands on them. Was at a session with some Google developers today at Devoxx (Java conference) and they said they had a while to play with the Yuga/Odin. They said they were blown away, they haven't seen anything better.
If Sony can release these before the competition they've got an absolute winner on their hands. This could be 2013's legendary superphone, like the Galaxy S2 in 2011 and the S3 in 2012"...

Hope in 2013 Sony will come up with the best camere module that could beat both Nokia 808 and Lumia 920 combined. I will surely get one even if the price is the same as the upcoming Galaxy S4.
Right now (at least in my country) one of the main reason people go for Sony Xperia is the cheaper price then the competition and not because of it is a better option.

Unless they give me 5000mAh, otherwise I won't considering as buying option.
Seriously Quadcore A15 + HSPA+/LTE + 1080p S-AMOLED
normal battery would never last for 6 hours even moderate user
Anyway, I'm agree with you at some degree, Samsung can't go back to dual-core configuration in high-end segment that they start to push with quad-core this year. If they go back with dual core, consumer may think that they step backward. IMHO.

Yes, I'm worried too quite frankly.
Samsung S4 apparently will come with true Cortex A15 quad core, an 8 core GPU and 3GB of RAM. I am not sure how Yuga can match the S4
@felimenta97
I don't have any idea about bands yet, sorry. |

And the S4 will need a 4000mAh battery to support the 8 core GPU , quad core CPU.
On top of that it will have an at lest 5"1080p AOLED display.
That combination will eat up the battery very fast. |

@RaMu,It's my guess ,I do see Samsung copies some of the software and adds them in there phones.and also Samsung strategy is they wait for the Other phone manufacture to release in market and then Samsung introduce there phones, however Samsung + point is there Amoled Screen and Touch sensitivity. Why doesn't Sony use this marketing technique.they should project the feature way beyond Samsung can get it,which means adding features more than Samsung does and can compete with them.Sony designs are way beautiful then nay other phones, lacks software wise and further future specification. If they make this I guess Sony would join top 1 spot in 2013.
last quote:2013 Sony should beat Samsung S4 in all qualities. .Guys what about a pico projector phone or an addon to Yuga phone. |
