Basically, what I want from Sony is:
quadcore MT chipset clocked at 1.4GHz
1512MB RAM
5" 1080p screen which can be set to 720p for better performance and longer battery life but still capable of displaying 1080 pictures and videos.
microSD slot and 16GB internal memory
2200mAH removable battery
8MP camera which is able to shoot 90FPS 720p video along with 1,3MP front cam
the same size as ZL
There's no need for being water
resistant or premium material
With a price tag below $479

1. I think someone explained here a hundred pages ago that 1.5 GB of RAM would not be possible.
2. A display is still 1080p even if its only displaying a 720p picture, downsized or not.
3, 4 and 5. Not possible within that price range, not to mention the other specs.

1536MB is possible with two modules of RAM just like some Samsung phone with 768MB of RAM.
Omnivision has a front facing camera which can record VGA video at 120FPS.
About the 1080p display I think you're right but I think setting the screen to 540p with a dedicated chip would work.
$479 is really dream like but $529 is quiet possible I think.

@XperiaCute
I have lost all faith in JDI after the Xperia Z screen fiasco. Better to buy screens from Sharp, LG or Samsung.

If you want you may search for the discussion about RAM modules here in the thread, but good luck with that.
I don't care about Omnivision or whatever that can shoot 2400 FPS QCIF videos, what I want to say is that with those specs, pricing it under $479 would not be possible.
Displays have fixed resolutions.

I wish Sony use LG ( AH-IPS) , or AUO panel .. they are much better ... After I got my Xperia Z I totally satisfied with Dispaly but Sony could do better ..

PA has got it finally... It'll be even more awesome, if GSMArena also posts this news... Hope a great hype will be created for the H2 device...

@randomuser
Is there a possibility that the 20MP sensor on Honami be co-developed by Sony and Toshiba? Because Toshiba is supposed to start shipping its 20 MP lytro sensor to costumers in Q3 2013.
I wish Honami will be the first smartphone with lytro capabilities.

No. It's 100% Sony developed sensor.

Unlurking to ask a question as I haven't seen this mentioned - Has there been any talk of wireless charging used in the upcoming phones? The waterproofing of the Xperia Z appeals a great deal, but I'd rather not have the hassle (and the wear and tear) of opening and closing the little flap.

There is a 3rd party Qi Wireless charging kit for Xperia Z

Hmmm thanks Ramu, but no plans to integrate Qi within the devices?

The external contact pins and the Sony official dock are quite nice. I suppose I shouldn't expect much here as the S4 doesn't have wireless charging built in, just as an official accessory backplate, and I'm not sure that you could use it with the HTC One at all.
