Do you know if Sony is bringing their flagship phones to Sprint? Or any of their xperia phones to Sprint for that matter?

Seen any color video in your e-reader lately? Us neither, and Japan Display wants to change all that with a new reflective, paper type LCD capable of the feat that burns very little juice, to boot. To pull it off, the prototype uses a so-called light control layer, allowing it to collect rays and bounce them toward your eyes, exactly like plain old analog paper. The consortium developed a low color fidelity version with five percent NTSC coverage and a bright 40 percent reflection, along with a dimmer version carrying a third less reflectivity but a more faithful 36 percent hue gamut. The latter still needs some tweaking, according to Japan Display, but the more reflective version is now good to go for production, meaning it might start popping up in new readers imminently. For more info, check the video after the break.

I like that they have color choices, but there should be at least a 3rd option. Perhaps a limited edition color like Ice Blue or something that looks very special, kinda like how Nintendo and Sony used to have limited edition Gameboys and PSPs. Makes it valuable and unique.

I'm glad it will come with 4.2, as that is something they need or else there would be a lot of backlash from reviewers and the mobile community (i.e. haters). Will it have SD?

Aranha, the Xperia V was supposed to be offered via sprint but I don't have any newer update. Things may change next year.

Randomuser, any idea if Yuga will have the Exmor RS sensor? Any news on improved optics? I am hoping they have been working with their Cybershot/Alpha divisions to improve the software and JPEG compression as well.

On the topic of the paper-like LCD mentioned above, very interested to see where this leads. It would be wonderful if they could develop those units into e-readers that have optional LED backlighting that you could turn on when you want it. You then wind up getting the best of all worlds.

I agree with you all 2013 phones will ship with Android 4.2 [The only reason y sony delayed JB to 2012 phones cause so that all engineers can work on 2013 models to have the latest OS]

If Dogo is going to be announced @ CES then leak images should be out by now, isn't it?.
Anyways..

So far Dogo Specs look like

4.65-inch (1280 x 720) HD LCD with the Mobile Bravia Engine
Quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon processor
1GB of RAM
32GB Internal Memory
Colors - Black/White
13 megapixel Camera
Will ship with Android 4.2

Any more info of what materials are going to be used, like Gorilla Glass Screen, Aluminium back cover etc

T200 -> T68i -> T610 -> K700i -> P910i -> W800i -> P990i -> M600i -> P1-> Nokia E71 -> X1i -> X10 -> Arc S -> Sony Z1 -> Sony Z Ultra -> Sony Z3+ -> iPhone 6 -> iPhone 7 Plus -> iPhone X -> iPhone XS Max

Will the quad core processor really operate like one or is it just there for show? Is JB optimised for Quad core?

Biggest argument for me is future-proofing. My arc got old way to fast...

Why should the release date of the XV influence the availability of Dogo? The hardware is different, therefore it appeals a different audience. Even if the XV would be buyable from now on, for one thing it would be still late and for another thing it received too little limelight (wrongly!). It should have been the flagship (future technologies), but it got treated like a niche product...

V has nothing on Dogo... But as per the rumors dogo should be available by the end of Jan or the beginning of Feb... So my problem is, if V itself gets released by Jan when will dogo release... Cos Once dogo gets released it might influence the sales of V, right...??? Isn't there a slight chance that Sony might postpone the release of Dogo jus for the goodness of V...??? That's what my doubt is...

Sony Mobile themselves positioned the V even below T. If they were to be released around the same time there will quite a big price difference with the V being cheaper than Dogo.

Does that also applies for Yuga?
