So the Sharp displays in Z/ZL are the ok ones and the JDI ones are the ones where people are reporting problems?

he was referring to the snapdragon 800 models

From what I see Sharp screen is the best

I hope thy use in dogo as it will help reducing bezel to reach that compact size

@DACHA

6.44 inches Phablet (expected in June)
6.44"2560x1600 OptiContrast
2 or 4 GB of RAM
32GB of storage capacity
8MP ExmorRS
stylus
6mm thin
3500MAh

The phablet specs are looking good. The resolution seems a bit of an overkill, but maybe at its huge size it will be a selling factor over other phablets. Who will produce the screen? I don't think any 6.44" 2560x1600 panels have been announced. The big questions are whether Sony will make unique UI features in the phablet and have good digitizer software (Wacom) as those are the big draws of the Note II. The other question is the battery, it should be at least 4000mAh.

@sighduck

Toshiba Releases 6.1" Display with Resolution of 2560x1600. Making a 6.44" with the same resolution should not be a problem. Also the rumored size is 6.44" it could also end up being smaller.

Sonys small screen business was rolled into JDI, so I don't believe they have the capacity to make them on their own anymore. The phablet specs do indeed look juicy. I got to play with a Note 2 for the first time yesterday and I do like a larger phone. Can't wait to see what Sony comes out with!

But there's a limit to thickness too when you want something to be pocketable. The PureView 808 imo is a bit to thick.

The 808 is pocketable, but I wouldn't want the Xperia RX to be that thick.

Anyway, I found this.

Source: Image Sensor Format

this is a more complete article discussing sensor sizes

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sensor_format

and looking at wikipedia's table, this camera holds the biggest sensor so far

I don't know about the dogo being delayed and launching as a flagship. But I guess Dacha is quite reliable.

Anyway, One Sony = RX will have

- 20.2 MP 1/2" sensor + Carl Zeiss Optics
- Triluminos Display
- BIONZ Engine
- X-Reality Engine

Again, these are just rumors so don't take these as FACT !

One Sony is more of a statement. To show all the competitors what Sony is capable of. A showcase of Sony's technological prowess and strengths

As for the phablet, Sharp has a 6.1 inch 2K IGZO display. Maybe Sony can use that

As Ramu said these are just rumors.
I have another one

One of the two H2 flagships will have a dedicated audio chip and it might be named Xperia X.
