Guys i don´t know if this is true but is there anyone can confirm it? this isn´t something i read but i heard it... I heard that Honami won´t Use the New Jpeg Algorithm in the beginning!  it will Launch with the old one! its something about Legal matters or something... is this true? |

Which region are you from? Sony is very bad at their marketing, especially for NA. But they have recently axed their PR and marketing department for SCEA shows that they know its a problem, especially when PS4 is coming out. They hired a firm that used to so some crazy ads and marketing for google I think. Everything regarding the PS4 seems to be heading the right direction. I think they said that they are also planning on increasing the marketing budget for their mobile division.
I'm from Malaysia but I'm agree with you that, with the PS4, Sony has shown some improvement in terms of marketing but I do feel, its still big different compared to Apple and Samsung. Over here, Samsung advertisement is everywhere....
really hope that Sony can be more aggressive in the marketing.... they are producing very nice gadget, but if it is not properly advertised, nobody will know about it. |

@Sami Aurelius was hinting us the same and he dont want to disclose untill Z1 releases:) lets hope for firmware upgrade in future |

That would not be super smart...
If they take 3-4 month to release the engine, knowing that a new flagship is coming in 6 month, then I guess that people/fans who know would wait.
For the regular consumer, one could say it matters less, but unfortunately in a competitive environment the product needs as much unique selling point as possible, and this may take one away.
Let's see what this is all about in two days.

i still love my Xperia Z, i really like it that much.. design came at first.. so for me, maybe for the honami upgrade.. lets just wait and check it out how honami introduce itself.. at first leak of Xperia Z, i didnt like it that much but when it came official, its just wow for me.. so lets see.. just 2 more days.. |

Yes two more days to go and we will know if Kaz could "fix certain things" or if it will be done for later products. This quote was only about 3 month ago after all. It should mean that some things in the pipeline at that time were not right and maybe the ones that were the most advanced in this pipeline could not be completely fixed?

It's not anything to lose sleep over, so calm down guys.  Honami will still have a camera superior to any other Android. There is not much to worry.
Just that it won't be as good as it can be in the first few weeks, like the Z. |

Honami is getting more Sony on the hardware side, but on the software side it's not very different from the Xperia Z.
They only just started on pushing the real Sony integration with the new Walkman etc, you can expect to see the first real ecosystem advantages from early next year. |
