24/192, 4K, 128GB, ZL Bezel. I have nothing else to add..

The bezel defending is annoying, like flatlanders the only way to fit things in a device is to extend the size 2dimensionally? adding depth is not such a bad thing.. negative space on the phone face is garish, and appalling. passing on the G2 because the lower bezel is asymmetrical to the top.. offends my sense of balance, omnibalance.

Honami and Z Ultra are nearly the same phone, Honami is even listed as a variant of the Z Ultra on PTCRB, so that is why both certification and release will go pretty smooth

walkman has been integrated within Xperia phones since last year. and Honami is rumored to come with S master chip. I honestly don't see the point releasing a new walkman phone given the current trend on converged devices nowadays

Nono I'm just talking about a Walkman MP3/4 player! I may sound retro but I really prefer to have separate handset:) an mp3, a phone and a good compact (or a lens camera!:D ).. So I can use them separately and do not easy battery of the phone when I'm listening to the music:) and it has really been a while since the last Walkman device!:)

@my_ninja - bezels ultimately come down to preference. you've clearly established which side you're on.

is there any phone out or to be released that comes with 128gb internal? again, i think this is another preference thing as i prefer to have my own sd card over a massive internal storage. i'd be happy with 32gb internal with a 64gb sd card and cloud storage to back all that up. plenty for me! I know there are plenty out there who would prefer to have it all internal. like i said, preference

in the end, it doesn't seem like honami will disappoint if ZU is anything to go by

I'll be hoping amazon offers it for sale here in the states! I'm not opposed to importing it, but i'd prefer to buy from an american retailer just in case.

@moog, yea i know its preference but my preferences have kept me sidelined for years now, because my prefs are under represented. i am the user that would buy a $2000 device no questions if it did the things i would list but thats OT like a mo fuh cure. here and now, i understand that samsung produces a 128gb flash chip thats the same size as the 16gb chips used ~160mm^2. the thing about that is, that if they upped the storage the increase in price relative to the complete cost of the device is marginal, meaning no one would notice a 600$ against 620$, not many would say, boy i wish i had less space. they ONLY make 64GB sdxc cards right now been waiting a year (more) for larger sizes esp since they drafted the spec for sizes ALL the way up to 2TB (yup, micro sdxc look it up!) so with a 4 year old device i already have that 96gb (32interal + 64, and im tapped out(hd/local movie storage + flac audio))... FOUR years and I cannot get more storage? thats farcical.. its really a demand thing, but if they are thinking about 4K, ill pass if i can only get 80GB on hand at a time.. i feel like no one cares that theres a demand (tiny) but theres a demand for a REAL device. I want to step up so badly and make it but no one takes the idea seriously. at this point i am at a loss why devices this size arent used as desktops/latops/phones. they are powerful enough, at least the next gen of chips A57/53 bL most certainly will be strong enough. but we act like they are merely upgraded startacs.. need a paradigm shift.

can sony FINALLY put a global shutter on a mobile? its like no one is even trying..

i'm all for sony putting 128gb in there if it takes up the same space and the increase in price is minimal. for me, my preference isn't because i don't want it in there, i just don't want to pay a premium for the same storage i can buy with an SD card at half the price.

if they can do it without crazy price increase, then i'm all for it

Seems like 1020 beats 808 camera wise!

No.. the 808 is superior in terms of raw IQ out of the box, especially in pureview mode.

I think Honami's overall experience will trump 1020.

That's relative.. some people like WPs UX more than android, and the other way around. The camera UX on the 1020 is very good as well.

makes sense, as was mentioned here or on xperiablog, if it truly had 4k recording, it wouldn't be 4000x2000, I'd imagine it would have 3840×2160, since that is what 4K is on the Sony TVs and the rest of 4K tvs. Once 4k TVs drop below 5,000 or are at least affordable for the masses, then I don't really see the sense of 4k in a phone.

if honami comes out in early september, I'll be pleasantly surprised but not expecting the device to be on sale in poland before middle of october.

They better have some clever video compression algorithm ... 4k files could be rather large, but it would be awesome if they can do it!

@moog, its cheaper in bulk than and individual buy for a 64GB card at 40/50$ ... plus like i said thats a max of 80, I need MOARRR.

i feel if im spending that kinda dough regardless that i shouldnt have LESS storage than i currently have, in aforementioned four year old device. i want an upgrade, not a sidestep, and not a downgrade.. $600+ and i have to buy a mem card thats slower overall 180MBps vs 15MBps.. i cannot be the only one that doesnt use the cloud for files and wants to share media without having to transfer files around.

Instead of extra lenscams, we should be upgrading the basics. as it is, they are missing the boat. 1080p screens and they ship phones with 16GB.. how is this sane? thats like 1 BDRip at quality.. ughh. i need to design a device.

Yup compression would definitely have to be clever, since the 16GB wouldn't hold out long and a 32 or 64 microSD would be needed. 1080@60fps is plenty for me.

Personally I am curious how the sound quality will be, I have both the X-series and an E-series from last year with NC and both offer great sound quality. Either I'll grab the MDR-NC13 or MDR-NC100D.

I heard it's going on sale early October with same price point as the Z.

The cleverness is mostlikely spelled h.265. It's still in development as we speak, so any wider spread of 4K applications in consumer products like mobile phones is most likely 1-2 years away I would guess.
