One of the PDF files on the FCC website is named 'Honami_Gina_Marking' for the FCC label.

Is the 'Gina' bit significant? Or just an old code name?

No way the i1 is 5.7 inch big. Recent photos are real deal and i1 is (like it or not) a Z refresh.

@smclion - not sure what you're trying to say, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will RELEASE on or before the 30th, but confidentiality will be kept at least until that date. It will be announced before then, so the test photos and manuals can be released and then official launch can come later on, even november (though that would be stupid of them to wait that long).

It's getting interesting. I wish the screen is a little bigger than 5" like 5.07" would be awesome.
@aurelius what else do you know? I guess you mentioned earlier that you have some info but you think it's early to tell us about them. Is now the time?

0.07" would never even be noticable, so why bother?

The question to ask now is, if Honami has a magnetic charging connector, why does the phone in the leaked photos not have one? Either that means it's not a final product that's been photographed, it's a regional variant that does not have the charging connector, or that's not Honami.

I suppose it's POSSIBLE the dock could be there, but isn't visible in the pics. Compared to the Z Ultra pics tho, I think we should be able to see it.

So... speculation?

Last night I met a graphic artist working on a web module for the i1's new section of the Sony website. They said Z and i1 are very similar in design just i1 is a bit taller and the sides feel a bit more comfortable.

They also said, that in their opinion, Z Ultra is the more attractive option.

I'm going to see if I can try to get some graphics of the device out of them.

I was wondering what that bit was in this diagram, until I saw a hands-on video of the Z Ultra today which has a label pull-out in one of its covered ports. It's where the label, serial numbers, IMEI numbers, bar code etc. are located, and that's why the Z Ultra has a clean back without the FCC label like the Xperia Z. And now it appears that the Honami has the same setup. Nice!
