First battery benchmarks show Snapdragon 800 is a frugal beast

So you're willing to miss out on all the benefits of Honami just because it is a few millimeters taller than you'd like? I'd find a way to live with it for such a device. |

Yes, a few mm, its a few mm longer and wider than the Z which is already huge, so much so that the company itself decided to make a smaller version. so again, yes the water proofing is no exchange for a size. and lets be completely honest, i only care about storage, cpu, ram, res (quality), and LTE which is why i passed on the ZL .. the s4 pro couple that with the faded screen, so far its looking like a great decision, delay of gratification. nothing is hitting all of my notes recently everything is just slightly off and if im spending 700$ theres no way im not getting what i want, so ill continue to save my money.
however anything short of 64gb internal and i w ill also keep it moving. i have a 2009 Nokia N900 as my primary device, and really want an UPgrade (i have 96gb internal storage right now).
moores law every 18 mos we should double so we should be close to 8x the internal storage. ie 256GB. since this hasnt happened, i will settle for 64 as it is more than i have now, but thats sad that its so rare that i have to have this conversation. |

Though I agree with your point I believe 32GB will be the best we get on Honami. IMO that's certainly a flaw but no deal breaker.
Btw. without H.265 codec, there isn't much point in shooting 4K videos ROM wise...

IIRC zomg had noted months ago that we won't be seeing a flagship phone on the scale of the ZL until 2014 so if you can hold out that long you might get the size you want.

Moores Law talks about what is technologically achievable, not what's economically achievable. Sure Sony COULD put far more memory into Honami, or offer multiple variants - the tech is already there. The question is whether there's enough market demand to justify doing so, and the resulting price hike. We already know Sony puts a lot of time into market research, and if they do not offer higher capacity variants of Honami, my guess is their market research told them that the majority find that to be a low priority.
Also, I do wonder if they intentionally keep internal memory low because they want to get people into the mindset of using cloud options.
