So there's room to improve of course, but from what I can tell Honami will crush all the competition on the horizon in terms of specs and features.

And it all depends on the marketing... It wont work if people dont know whats in it... So many beautiful features n all need to be exposed without leaving out any... They did quite ok with XZ in grabbing attention to Sony...

It's interesting that with all the leaked info we've recieved so far on Honami, the flash still seems to be in question a bit.

Now assuming the device in the leaked pics is Honami, it appears to have an LED flash. My question is if it's a plasma flash, would it appear the same as an LED, or do plasma flashes look more like xenon?

The EARLY prototype I have seen uses LED flash.

You said you didn't see backside ?As it was covered ? So you have no clue about camera and flash as you said.

@Ambi & Ramu I think the specs you have about the screen is not contadicting; the differences are Ramu says 1:2000 contrast ratio but Ambi 1:2300 and Ramu says 500nits max brightness but Ambi says 700. I think the different contrast levels are in different brightness and if both of you are right then The screen must have a rough time producing blacks over 500nits so it makes sense to limit it to 500.
1:2000 contrast with 500nits means quiet awesome black levels; Honami black levels must be around 0.25 cd/m^2 which is uber impresive.

1:2000 contrast with 500nits means quiet awesome black levels; HTC One with 650cd/m^2 and 1:1500 contrast ratio has 0.41 cd/m^2 black levels so for Honami black levels must be around 0.27 cd/m^2 which is uber impresive.

add opticontrast panel into it and we'll have the best black

The back is.covered back obviously there's holes for LED flash and camera. A little more thinking will be useful.

I don't know, the screen confusion might be another thing updated Z and Honami will differ. But I think Ramu and I both agree the screen will be one of the best in the market.

Xperia Z ultra has the best screen on the market right now IMO so it's not impossible for honami to have the best screen on the market

Anyone know the name of the tech Sony is using on the Z Ultra for the stylus support? I'm really hopeful they integrate it for all future high end phones and tablets.

I read somewhere it was this
http://www.neonode.com/solutions/zforce/
Neonode technology called Z-Force which can sensse almost everything... from a pen to a brush to a teeth to a stick to a rimmel to a fork to a spoon to a leg to a nose to a brick to a motorsaw to a knife to a plasma-cutter

Nah, it doesn't seem to be Neonodes tech. Youtube vids I've seen indicate it can only pick up metallic signatures. Objects like paint brushes would not work here, and there is no pressure sensitivity.

This vid even shows a fork being used on the Z Ultra at about 4:40
