The other interesting idea I have heard is for Sony to make an Xperia K using the same Sensor as the RX100 and couple it with a 28mm equiv F1.8 Zeiss lens, basically a smartphone with a fixed focus camera inbuilt sort of like Samsung's Galaxy Camera, but actually desirable. That would be a phone camera worth having IMO as they could make it shoot RAW and put in full manual control with a touch interface.

This have entered my mind again :

Give me a phone with the build quality, specs and design of Odin/Yuga and give it the 1" camera sensor/lens/flash of the RX100, and I'd gladly buy it. I know such a thing would probably cost closer to $1,000 but damnit I WANT IT! Of course it'll be much thicker than Odin/Yuga, but I wouldn't care. To have such a device with all of those abilities... it would boggle my mind!

Unfortunately even if they do make this Xperia K, chances are it'll have the phone specs of a mid range unit at best

So by these claims, Q4 flagship would be based on (by that time) ancient A9 based S4? Even Odin/Yuga with their Q1 launch are expected to be outdated in regards to Galaxy SIV with it's Quad A15 SOC!?

I hope these speculations are wrong and that Sony will eventually catch up to the SOC race.

Those were rumours from the summer on what might have been for the 2H 2012 models. Obviously they did not come to pass and we go the Xperia T instead as the current flagship.

Yeah, they're both supposed to use the new 13 megapixel Exmor RS sensor Sony has produced. Apparently it has changed a bit since it was first announced at the start of the year, but it should still be an improvement over current mobile sensors. Originally it was supposed to have a RGBW matrix to enhance the low light capabilities, but a while back Sony stated they had to take out the white subpixel. Still, can't wait to see how things have improved with the new sensor. Also hoping that Sony Mobile has been working with their Cybershot and Alpha divisions to help improve software and JPEG compression so that we can get the most out of this new sensor.

EDIT.

As a sidenote, I must mention that I'm seeing a LOT of Xperia T ads everywhere on the internet - this is great that Sony is getting their name out there all over the place! Now I admit I don't watch TV so I don't know if they're actually running commercials here in Canada. The moment I will be super excited is when I'm driving around the city and see Xperia billboards plastered all about. I swear I got sick of seeing Galaxy S3s on billboards everywhere, but it is still effective advertising. Hopefully this means Sony will continue to build upon their advertising for Odin/Yuga. Considering they seem to hope this will be a gamechanger of sorts for their smartphone business, I would hope they'd put a lot of advertising money behind it.

He is referring to the fan made render a couple of posts before his. According to Spectre on XDA, Odin looks like Yuga, but is smaller. We also got the dimensions from him so the render should be pretty accurate.
