It is confirmed that it has nothing to do with any Xperia phone, at least for this year.
The exterme simplicity will be the major element for this year's flagship phone.

@Ricky, thanks for reminding us of the W960. I can now visualize honami much better. I just find it too hard to imagine how one would be able to put interchangeable lens on that ring. I mean, there will be some sort of a groove which will destroy the overall design, am I right? |

maia will it come with android 5.0 or 4.2.2,how was the software in this and also any stylus for this like togari:)
And also how pleasant design is and some rumours said its the most best design ever made by Sony,so how did u feel,awesome or ugly?

4.2.2 is the best it will get. 5.0 isn't even out yet and isn't expected to be released by google until october. Honami is expected to be available before then. Even if Honami were released in october, it STILL wouldn't get 5.0 since google reserves that special privilege for its nexus devices.
so you're lookin at 4.2.2 at best.

There is some new info that Honami will not be sold in China before the end of the year, so the earlier "plan" of Honami being sold by July in Chinese market probably no longer exists. |

Design Update, I made two versions as I'm not sure how the Xperia Logo will be placed (maia didn't specify this anyway )

Though I hope the back round part is not this big or even better without that round part to make a bit more stylish premium feeling
even July in China is not real, at least Sept. 2013 or somethng is also ok~~ just need real photo leak now -.-" sigh

Maia, were you trying to say earlier that there is a shutter door over the lens like on a point and shoot camera? Activate the camera and it opens the shutter door?

Whether you like the design or not is another thing. But do note Razec has put in a lot of hard work in making these. And he's done a fantastic job. That should be appreciated. |

I'm finding it very hard to believe Sony would ever make something like that, I don't think that is going to be the design, Although I did a very rough and quick 3d based on maiaramdan and razec's outputs and this is what came out:
