Is it not able to use touch focus and blur the background using that ?

My N8 struggles with background defocus, but funnily enough my Galaxy S3, my main phone, does it with ease. Sadly, with poorer image quality than what the N8 is capable of.

Many new HTC models have a DOF setting which works great. I hope Nokia can pull something out the bag better than the 920. The 920 was not what we all hoped probably due to Windows software restrictions

I just dont think the 920 has a very good camera unit regarding hardware, never mind the software. Its the 920's main drawback for creative people.

Daylight pictures from the Lumia 920 are remarkably better after the Portico update, unfortunately all reviews are from months before this update.
But of course, even with this much improved photo quality, the Lumia 920 is no competition for the 808PureView, as, in fact, no other smartphone is either

I actually couldnt care less about OIS or whatever its called.

Pictures are more important than making cheesy, corny, embarrasing home movies.

@etaab .. most phones will blur the background if you are close enough to the object, and its small enough to make any sense.. like a flower for example. But for portraits you need to be standing further away from the subject, and that is where all phones fail.. sensors are too small to blur the background properly like a FF DSLR would..

As far as the 920... like I said months ago, its average.. nothing special. Video recording is the only thing..
