that's a lot of images man.. but yeah, they did a good job on the gallery app since they knew it had to handle those 10-15mb files from the camera. It also had 100% on the 41mpix files from the get go.

And yeah.. if you just need a phone for calls, text, some web, and just normal smartphone activity the 808 just works.. nothing complex about it. The craze around my iPhone 6 is slowly wearing off and its going to be spending more time in the drawer

Can I ask - why are you not selling your iPhone then? Seems like a waste seeing that you could get a lot of money on your iPhone 6 - as it is so new still

He can sell the iphone 6 in 6 months and will still have tons of value, thats a good thing about iPhones.

Back to the 808, I was using the camera with +2 Saturation / +3 Sharpness. But I found colours to be like too saturated (like samsung) so I decreased to +1 Saturation / +2 Sharpness, they look much better now.

Has anyone had luck with memory cards bigger than 32GB?

I have a microSD 64GB but when I put it in my 808, after a little while comes back with an error: "disk write failed" and gives the option to retry and cancel.
I just press cancel.

I havent noticed losing any files and the card keeps working fine. Is just that little error that's bugging me.

Its a nice toy.. I still use it quite a bit And like fbloise said, the iPhone 6 will keep its value very well so I am not really worried about it.

What file format are you using with it ? Either way you should try to reformat to exFAT on your PC and see if that helps.. 64GB shouldn't be a problem, I've heard people using 128GB with them and its fine .

It's a pretty area. Lots of opportunities to make perfect photos with any phone. A few steps to the left or right changes the amount of light drastically in Amsterdam.
Phones are so good these days , it's more based on preference as pure quality.

Happy 2015

I am still using mine as a main phone along an LTE enabled Nokia 2520 .. its a very good combo and I think I can get away with it until something more interesting comes along sometime this year. I really find most phones out there right now rather boring.. the iPhone 6 is the most complete package bar the camera, and the Sharp Aquos Crystal is the most innovative in terms of design.. other than that.. meh..

The 808 does the job just fine and it still has that amazing camera combo..

For me the combo tablet + 808 never worked. I tried with some (kindle fire hd, lenovo thinkpad) but they are big and usually i found myself not using them for weeks.
I found the best combo for me was 808 + iPhone, so I did my upgrade from iPhone 5 to an iPhone 6. Using the iP6 as main phone (social media, emails and pretty much everything that requires a big screen) and the 808 for maps, music and of course, photos & videos.

But funny thing, I bought my 808 2 yrs ago, impressive that I've been using a phone for so long.
