It's actually not that bad (for me at least) to be on the data plan. With the new plans (and my corporate discount / 28%) I pay 15/mo less with my wife and I on a 10GB shared plan. She uses only like 500-800mb/mo and I use only between 1GB-5GB (depending on if I'm traveling or not) so really works well for us. Additionally, I can buy whatever phones I want and don't have to worry about "sneaking" one by them [addsig]

^ yeah, the new shared plans are pretty good.. I am testing the 2GB one for this month and if it doesn't work out I will go up to 4GB.

You have a pretty good deal! 10GB is plenty.. I have a Lumia 2520 on a 10GB plan shared with 4 more people and its fine

I'm looking for the new iPhone although I would've preferred a 4.3" screen. I hate big screened phones, cant use them with one hand.

^ if the ip6 has similar dimension to those two

http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=6573&idPhone2=6077

we should be okay in terms of one handed usage.. not as great as the 808/ip5/n9 , but still.. considering the screen size this would be pretty good.

I have a feeling that it will be taller and wider tho.. there is no way Apple can compete with these guys when it comes to screens and how to fit them. Even Sony is behind..

if this is real

its ok i think

Not sure but I'm guessing NO... probably limited to max of lines (I'm just guessing)..... that line doesn't use lots of data... just enough to feed my GPS traffic and weather info [addsig]

Microsoft or whoever was in charge finally pulled the plug.

No Sharing service is working on my 808. Flickr was the first couple of months ago, then twitter like a week ago, and today is Facebook's turn.

Check the error I get when trying to upload anything to Facebook:

Below the Twitter & Flickr errors:

Like cu- said, not sure why they think by doing this will push us to get a windows phone. Heck, I'm even checking Xperias at the moment to replace my 808, but never a WP8. Not after this.

Very sad day indeed.

What a stupid move. I don't know about Flickr but Facebook and Twitter used to be just as good on their mobile site

The gap can be filled with some apps, although not as easy as using the ShareTo function

For Facebook:
FMobi, FBrowser, Gravity (this one is very good to upload)

For Twitter:
Gravity, Tweetian

For Flickr:
FlickrUP

Meanwhile, Nokia is busy identifying a Lumia 930 in the last Kate Perry's crappy video:

^ lol

Well, youtube sharing still works but its a matter of time. Microsoft are in charge of everything, but this particular problem might be due to API changes on the other end of those services.. what's strange is that they all stopped working and they are different companies so I doubt they all changed their APIs at the same time. I dunno.. maybe Microsoft pulled them

I wonder if they will have the courage to pull Nokia Maps because the phones were advertised with "free navigation for life" or something like this.. once they do that, they will force a lot of people to switch to.. something.

The sad part is that all of those services, including Skype, work just fine and there is no logical reason to stop them. The Skype team said Symbian was not built for a cloud world .. wtf does that mean ?

I feel like if they could prevent the 808 from making phone calls they will find a reason to get rid of that too.

by the way auto upload to OneDrive still works, but I am sure they are looking into that too.

The forced me to look elsewhere, I'm undecided between the Xperia Z2, a Z1 Compact or an iPhone 5S.

I am waiting to see what kind of lens they have on the iPhone 6.. if its the same square thing, I will pass, but if its as wide as the 808/1020 I will probably go for it.

The last two iPhone generation there was always a Nokia counter device..

iPhone 4 - Nokia N8
iPhone 5 - Nokia 808
iPhone 6 - ????????

The Microsoft merger didn't help the timing.

Maybe I will until Microsoft decide on the new camera flagships.. there is no way that will let all that R&D they got go to waste, but that means waiting for another 6 months or so..

I lost all my photos that were uploaded from the 808 to facebook. Apparently, by they breaking the API, they kinda messed up everybody's album called "Nokia 808 Pureview" and was removed along with whatever change they have done.

Man, all my travel photos, cool stuff, etc etc... all of them lost.

Thanks Elop! Thanks Microsoft! and Thanks Obama!!!!
