Fog comes in all seasons. Maybe spring has the most fog but I don't think that's reason enough.

Dont get me wrong, its a very nice picture and very spooky - maybe we need a spooky natural picture theme next month..
but i dont think it shows spring's arrival much

This is my 'Spring on the Great Wall' shot.
I took it at a section of the Great Wall of China which is closed off to tourists and so hasn't been restored in a long time. It was crumbling and broken and the path was down to just 8 or 9 inches wide in places and yet in the area there was white blossom growing without a care in the world bringing new life to decaying structures.
I had to lean out over a 20ft drop with nothing to counter balance me but my left leg to get this shot. And I had to shoot blind to get the right angle.
In another attempt you can get an idea of the kind of thing I was leaning off and the state of the wall.

Thanks 9_Destiny. Although I'm convinced I could probably get something better.
RE: the ratings in the gallery. I have only just found yesterday where to see what votes you've had. I notice some of my recent shots have one 1 and then a few 7-10. I guess this is what is meant by the 1 vote. I'm not bothered just thought I'd share that even my shots which can't muster a win in a competition where the average attendance isn't more than 10 also get victimised by some low level vote rigging.

my entry for this month... at first didn't want to take part (upset with the top 100 thing and the 1 or 2 votes), but still after the trip to the oldest town in Siberia, Tobolsk, I decided to show its beauty. the river is still frozen, not much green around, but still spring could be felt in the air
