On a side note ... and pretty sad it took me so long to realize this (yet I'm not an Android fan really).

HTC One S/E/X - champion win on the naming scheme by HTC.

The One X does look great in its design - especially the illusion of masking the 4.7" screen to look closer to 4.2" with how the screen is edged to fall into the shell. Excellent job HTC. I'll come to expect future smartphones with 4.5"+ screens will use this. We first saw it with Nokia's Lumia lineup, now HTC.

Lol, that would be cool but there is no HTC One E.
There's One X, One XL, One S, and One V, unless you're counting in the Evo?

Has anyone tried to install the Samsung S Voice on their HTC One device as I think this would make a fantastic phone even better?

So has the excitement of the One X died down? Now that the owners have had a couple of months to play around with them, I am curious as to what their thoughts are in terms of evryday usability, how the battery fares after several recharge cycles, and general handling of the phone given the size.
If it is to be it is up to me!

With that wi-fi issue and the realisation that the battery isn't removable, plus the memory isn't expandable, I wonder if anyones opinion has changed now they've had the phone for a while.

I always have spare batteries for my phones. There are simply too many occasions where needing a second battery is paramount, and these phones aren't exactly battery friendly...

I don't have the wifi issue on my particular model (32GB - International model). I was concerned definitely with battery life. I am not using it heavily but do surf, flipboard, voice calls and push notifications on constantly. It was not great battery life. But now that I have installed juice defender it has improved drastically too.

I know this is not good representation in terms of on-screen display time but I can also get about 3 hours screen time before the thing is less than 10% but on an average time I get really good time out of it after the the app was installed (took a few days for the device to understand the power requirements).

I have a question, my HTC One X have been at the workshop since the beginning of june and I got it back today. When you charge the battery the red light lit through the back. I thought it was some sort of foil to reflect the light so it only lit on the front of the phone. I can't remember it doing so before I sent it in. Can anyone verify?? [addsig]

It is lid only on the front of the phone. Can't see the light from anywhere else.

I went to the store where I bought it today, the guy I spoke to are going to call the office on monday and ask if it's ok with a replacement. But if that's a no, I have to send it in again. They have managed to place the power button wrong as well hehe.

Edit: I will get a replacement today

A cell phone cover serves as a protective layer to protect your phone from the daily wear and tear that can damage your gadget.

HTC One X Jelly Bean Update Starts Rolling Out

The HTC One Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, which HTC promised would be rolling out this month, has apparently started rolling out as promised though it appears that the roll out for the moment is only limited to Taiwan, HTCs home.

According to a post on XDA-Developers forum, the update is apparently rolling out in Taiwan and the version is reported to be version 3.14.709.16 with a size of 352.87MB. Thats a sizable update and means that those who are lucky enough to receive the update today will want to take some time to download and install it.

Once up and running the version of Android is said to be Android 4.1.2, the latest version of Jelly Bean.

To sum up - who started the JB rollout:
Nexus series - check
Samsung Galaxy - check
HTC - check
Motorola - till the end of the year
LG - probably till the end of the year
Sony - nobody knows, sometime in the far furure, Q1/Q2 2013 aka last...

The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand...
