I am saving to get me some nice: Protrek PRG models . . .

LIKE:

Casio Protrek PRG 240 1-1A :

The evolution of PROTREK never stops. These new models embody some of the very best in functional beauty and ease of operation that modern technology has to offer.

• The rotary bezel is specially shaped for easy operation, even while wearing gloves. Large letters indicating north, south, east, and west are colored for easy reading.
• Dedicated direction, barometer, and altitude buttons provide one-touch access to measurements. Buttons are large with slanted diamond patterns for plenty of slip resistance during operation.
• Since "easy to press" often also means "more operation error", the back cover is designed to make it the same height of the button surfaces, which greatly reduces the chance of operation error. The result is easy button operation, but only when you need it to be.

The number of pointer lines has been increased from 60 to 72 for easier to read World Time and sunrise times. TOUGH SOLAR ensures stable operation even when using power-hungry functions.

My wife's wanting to buy a watch as bday gift. She's not thought of Casio. These won't like them. I know.

By the way, Bear Grylls will like the MUDMAN.

@Tranced - Yup, only "athletic" ladies will appreciate the beauty of the CASIO watch Those who are heavily into sports. Actually the reason I started buying this - brand/series of models is when I saw yuppies at the mall wearing them paired with their - jeans and rubber shoes. Executives (who wore business suits) also wear this rubberized watch. You can easily spot a Casio watch in the crowd coz they always comes in different colors. Famous are: Blue, Green, Orange, Yellow, White and Red.

The Casio Aviator series is one of Casio's nice models too.

Casio Aviator G-1200B-1A :

From G-SHOCK! Introducing a new collection of aviation concept watches designed to defy high G forces.
A 1/100-second stopwatch is designed to keep accurate time even under the stresses of high G's that occur during air racing.
The dual-layer face creates a dramatic three-dimensional effect for the three dials.
The large face is carefully laid out to provide the look and readability of an aircraft instrument panel.
Large metal side buttons are designed and engineered for ease of operation.
At the same time, buttons are enclosed by protectors that protect against damage and accidental operation.
Bands are fastened on both sides with stainless steel screws for plenty of durability.

Case / bezel material: Resin / Stainless steel

Do you wear it in its current state? You might get it lost. You'll spend more then.
