Still not got it for my handset yet. I have heard that a master reset will sort any lag issues.

Still no ICS yet for a lot of people.

It is worth it if you can put up with only 4 gig memory

Great build, fast smooth menus, great clear sharp screen, camera is very good though the HD video is a bit pixelated. Battery life will last a good day despite small battery. I really liked the U but mine the vibrate stopped working and ya know me always changing anyway Audio quality is good but not gonna fit much music on it. Only thing that was odd was when the screen is blank you can see the digitizer on the U but it's not a big deal as you cannot see it when on anyway. They are small tiny dots. Just odd that Sony missed a trick with no SD slot And with the Sony phones that have the light strip why didn't they use it for notifications?? Why have to use an app?? Seems silly for Sony not to do that. But yes am going off track now,it's a good phone get it

Thanks Bonovox!
Let's see whether this or the Nexus S will be with me by the end of the year.

How long do you plan on having the phone? 4GB of memory with no expansion is ridiculous, you maybe fine with it now but will you be fine with it 6months later once the novelty has warn off?
Id rather advise you get a Nexus S, OR try find a Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy S2 2nd hand, both should be available at very good prices now, i just cant recommend the Xperia U to anyone who uses their smartphone for more than just calls, text and IM.

I have been using my U for about 1 month and think its great. The battery life is OK, not amazing but lasts just over a day so cant complain. 4GB doesnt bother me to much as I have never used more than that on any phone. I got mine for 100 which made it a bargain.

@Tsepz_GP: The idea is to have an android phone with a decent camera and battery life time. Now that you asked it, I could have the phone until I get balanced with the money. Things didn't go as I expected plus the X10 Mini Pro went useless. So a Xperia U could be the perfect candidate I thought.
@jcwhite_uk: the next time you catch a bargain like that don't hesitate to contact me!!!!
