Thats excellent doministry.
If there is one thing i havent heard about in Xperia S is any sort of lag, nobody (reviewers, users, demo etc...) have said anything about lag, seems Sony did a great job with software optimization in the Xperia S, i hope LG and HTC do the same in their new phones as their flagships last year had lag issues and even the single-core Arc out performed them at some points.
Well it's true.
But I want a good battery life otherwise the whole experience is spoiled.
Yes it has no lag and it's really fluent. No complaints here.

My only concern is still the battery.
Otherwise it works great.

Some others also report this problem.
Battery behaves normal just drains.
In Settings screen uses like 85% of the energy BTW.

I have had the same problem as you, so i send i back and get a new one and way better with the battery life than i fist had.
I strongly advice to switch for another battery just what i did. I think your device has a battery problem so switch to another phone is only option you have. |

The outdoor ones in sunlight look really nice at fit to view, yes a little noisy at full crop but zoomed out they are lovely. |

Noise seems to be lesser than previous shots for indoor shots! New firmware?

Well I will observe it further for few a days.
Some users claim the batt usage settles down after some time.

I cannot recall where the exact link is on youtube, but someone posted the Xperia S with the back cover off, and quickly pried off the "sealed" battery cover to show an SE/Sony standard battery - one's we're all VERY accustomed to. Not sure if the torx-screws needed to come off or if this was a hoax but was VERY surprised. This has me questioning if MicroSD slot actually exists.
EDIT: I think I found it. Screws where removed.

I got my XP S with HK software on it and yesterday flashed the generic UK software on it and the battery life went down the drain. It drains like crazy.
It might be a software issue with your phone.

Today for the first time I feel it settled itself.
I can't recall anything what could cause such a problem.
I will see how it will behave this night on idle.

Just cancelled my order with Clove, and purchased it sim-free from Phones4U instead just moments ago. For anyone who has ordered with Clove they are expecting stock tommorrow.
Will not get to play around with it till later this evening. I post my thoughts later on tonight.
