This could very easily be an old prototype that is in a employees hands after being dumped from development and manually updated to WP7.5.
I don't see Sony fitting Windows into their plans just yet. They're heavily invested in android now, all their new ecosystems and user experiences revolve around android's flexibility and Windows restrict developer freedom and customisation to a minimum.
I might be wrong but that's how I see it.

The one pointing to Nyphon is still incorrect. That's the Ion but without the AT&T logo. There were multiple demo units at CES that are like that. Nyphon is in that photo, but not that one that's pointing to...
Sony's upcoming Nypon handset to feature its WhiteMagic display with 1000 nits of brightness?

You'll be waiting a while for the next one. The flagship is the Xperia S.

If it's not the flagship the rumored price is to high. If it is the flagship, oh my...
I could buy Xperia S if I only knew what was coming later, I could even buy it at 450 euros if i knew there wouldn't be any other similar and better products 'til summer.
Buuuut.... will there be any other ~4 inch Sony phones build with better materials before summer? Nypon? That's the question to ask...

Well SE's (now Sony's) announcements are usually at CES, MWC, May/June and September. If nothing ground-breaking comes up at MWC, then you can expect to be waiting for a new flagship to be released at least till August.

As far as I am aware bar the change of brand name, the same staff will be working on R&D for Sony Mobile, as they were for Sony Ericsson? So will there really be that much difference in design? I wonder how the lack of Ericsson will affect the handsets...

In my opinion we will not see anything better than the ION/S at MCW because if SONY announces a better phone before the ION/S are released, a lot of people would just wait a few more months and by the better product. |
