I know there are dedicated threads already but this is a general comment about the T, TX and V.
I think overall I prefer the TX. Yes it has a smaller battery than the T, but I charge my phone every night so it doesnt bother me really. Also, imho, the Arc design looks better when its thinner. And the TX is the thinnest of the 3. Slap brushed aluminium, ala w880/w890, with the Arc design, would look great!
edit: Are the V and J devices the first pure Sony devices? Both lack the liquid energy logo

>500, I believe the reason Sony gave for the on all the earlier phones was that they were too far along in development to remove it. So I suppose the V & J were not past that stage as yet.
I wonder, would these phones, the T, V & TX, (equipped with either the MSM8260A or 8960 processors) be competitive enough with the likes of Galaxy S III, HTC One X, etc?

^^ The MSM896/8260A is the same processor as used in the HTC One X North America version. in terms of matching the SGSIII and the European One X benchmarks and reviews are all we have to go on. Reviews aren't always unbiased and benchmarks don't show 'real world' performance, only potential in a particular situation, but reviews and benchmarks seem to show performances are comparable.
Does anyone have any insider hints.. is there any more to come this year from Sony?
Also, does anyone else feel they could have just released the TX globally with a couple of V's features and drop the other 2?
And.. I updated first post finally. It was very late here at the time of the announcements so it had to wait till I had some shut eye and shook off my morning black & white filter.
This is my kung fu and it is strong. |

Xperia V seems to be Hayabusa/LT29/GX in a slightly different body, modified for water resistance.
My thoughts exactly. That is why I must have it!!

I've got no leaks/rumors to post today but just wanna share something that might still interest a few. There was a talk recently whether Sony would buy ST-Ericsson. Well I am not confirming it but Sony is indeed looking at making more acquisitions in the near future to benefit its mobile division.
So there might be a new acquisition made in the near future.
Hey randomuser! This post kinda got lost in the IFA excitement so I wanted to ask about it. I realize you can't give specifics, but are we on the right track to think Sony wants to be in the SoC business for mobiles? Or are you hinting at aquisitions in other areas relating to mobile?
Also I don't suppose you could give us an idea of how soon the near future is, could you? |

Don't look like the full resolution shots to me. Looks like they've been compressed once uploaded. |
