Really what were you expecting?
I really don't undetstand why people are so self-entitled. Name me one Android OEM which updated its ENTIRE 2011 smartphone lineup to 4.0.4 ICS. Sony were the only OEM to do so, but now they decided to not upgrade their 2011 range to 4.1.1 JB, they can eat your shit? Wow.......just wow.

Anyway, I thought LT30p stood for PROTOTYPE......

@XYZ,

Mediar has a valid concern. Sony's ics update was a big joke. If you guys let this slip by, then its only because of blind fanboy-ism. They had so much trouble just to get the update, saying it would be too memory intensive and etc. Why not then release jelly bean? Its supposed to smoothen things out, make everything faster.

---

I urge people who like sony, but not blind enough to be fooled by them, to stand against this. This is very dissapointing. They did not even offer 18 months of support. They never learn, I was planning to get the gx, but now, I have decided to not buy a sony/se phone if they do not show some good will and support their users. I will gladly buy s3 over this.

Well, I own Xperia Pro, which was released in October/November 2011, and knowing that every Android phone should get at least 18 months quality support, that means that I should get not only Android 4.1, but even the next version of Android. And it's totally Sony's fault that my phone was released with single core processor, instead of dual core one, as the competition did last year. But the people, responsible for that, are the one, who now state that quad core processors are overhyped and useless. Let me remain you that next year, when you don't get the next major android version, just because your beloved Xperia S/GX/Mint is again one year behind HTC One series and Samsung Galaxy S3.

it is sad that Sony won't be updating their 2011 line to Jellybean, but i'm sure there will be custom roms available. I assume most of us who follow this thread are the ones that flash their phones with custom Roms anyway.

In my opinion, Sony should at least support their H2 2011 phones with JB. It's only fair as mediar said, he only got his Pro in oct/nov timeframe. It's a total rip off to have it unsupported not even a year later.

as far as design, GX is still my #1 favorite at the moment. Can't wait for the announcement though and to see official press shots and more finalized details.

Whatever, I'm not even a huge fan of Sony. The bloody Xperia active got ICS, but my Galaxy Ace? Lolno Will my Galaxy Ace get JB" most definitely not.
I'm not saying Sony are saints. They aren't perfect. I do hope they improve next year once they're finished with the SE backlog.

In terms of:

- processor
- GPU
- ROM & RAM ( especially 2011 Xperias )
- Android updates

@-XYZ: your Galaxy Ace doesn't have the minimum amount of RAM, unlike our 2011 Xperias.

@mediar

Well, still haven't got my 18 months of support.

Anyway, the Dual Core Snapdrgon S3 and S4 are more than enough for the next 18 months. They're hardly insufficient, especially considering there ate numerous One S' being sold with Snapdragon S3's.

I might get a GX, because it looks nice and has reasonable hardware. That Mint is probably a prototype device and doesn't actually look that bad. Benchmarks are high given its low clock speed.
..
Anyway, I expect next years lot to resemble vaios or bravia TVs. At last I hope so.

Anyway, I don't get why are you still talking about Hayabusa as an unreleased phone? Isn't it already clear that Hayabusa is Xperia GX?

am worried about the low PPI. Ray has 297. I hope they can increase it from 257 (decent) to 300
