I just hope Mint wont be ION copy from launch and regions sides... I mean launching only in US, then some other countries where there's LTE... I know it doesn't make sense to launch such a device worldwide while LTE is only in few countries, but it will soon find it's way to more countries in next year, so it will be ready...
+ can't we just turn off 4G in these ( LTE ) phones ? so we will have the larger battery compared to Hayabosa ? I just hope it will comes with microSD slot just like Hayabosa

@rraz yea, i just read that on xperiablog. But, AT&T is notorious for being very very very VERY slow at releasing things unless it's a big name device such as iphone. they're still offering SG2 instead of 3. Also, they are only releasing Ion now instead of months ago when it should have been available. I'll gladly buy it from AT&T since it'll be cheaper and i'll get a warranty but will they have it available within a reasonable time (1 month) after release? i highly doubt it. Also, unbranding is just a matter of flashing on a generic rom. this gets rid of the carrier rom and no, AT&T won't do this and doing this will void your AT&T warranty... (if they know you do it  ) that's why, if you have an AT&T phone, you always back up or have an AT&T rom handy to flash back if you need to do a warranty claim.

my thoughts exactly. I have no problems pending $600 on a new phone but not having the warranty does worry me quite a bit. in the states, we have the option of several reputable websites we can purchase from that will give us a return warranty, but those sites usually don't pick up the phones we want until months and months after we want them.

I think it's about time that we see the return of BestPic, since Exmor sensors are more sensitive when compared to the old one used by K800 and with this Sony can implement a more cost effective version of HTT that was used on Cybershot cameras to improve lowlight shots since the latter is using fast mechanical shutters. I think it's not that difficult to include that feature on the next software update that Sony would be rolling out later.
And for OT post, Nokia seems to be heading the same path that SE took years ago

I've always loved SE but now I think it's not the same. I can't wait for S4 for a year. Every time now I have to wait when it comes SE or Sony phones. What's going on?

I know what you mean, I feel the same. Maybe it is just me but the passion is gone from this thread since it became a Sony- only thread, it is just lacking something that was there when it was Sony Ericsson.
I am trying to love Sony but it just doesn't come naturally, it is more of a forced emotion. Even though Sony Ericsson eventually started to disappoint and lack that initial competitive edge, there was always a special feeling about the company.
I will buy a Sony phone next year but it just won't be the same that is for sure.

Everything this year has blood in their veins, even the Hayabusa and Mint. Olive is the only phone this year developed under SMC, rest all are SEMC developments. So yes only next year will we see actual SMC phones come out. And from the looks of it, they are gonna be REALLY good, especially that 5inch 1080p beast which is gonna be coming to AT&T in April 2013. This is from someone with connections at AT&T. The device is about the same size as the Ion but with almost no bezel hence Sony was able to plonk in a 5 inch screen in almost the same footprint as Ion.
P.S. Others can ignore my post as I believe nobody wants to talk about 2013 devices as yet  |
