When do you think the next sony announcement will be? may 3 is when galaxy s3 will be announced, an both lg and motorola are working to rival that, What about sony? I personally feel they might use the e3 to announce something as play 2 or vita phone lol..

Should be in May - The Hayabusa announcement. Along with maybe one or two other phones going by the leaked roadmap.

Why are you guys fighting about screen technology! The screen on Xperia S is just plain gorgeous!! Yes it's LCD but still as fantastic! Who cares about viewing angles? Idiots that just wanna have something to complain about....

I love my Xperia S and wouldn't trade it for any other phone out there!

It is not really about which screen technology is better or which type of screen that Hayabusha might have that we were arguing about! It is about the "stupid beliefs" of wort1000 that 100% percent OLED screen exists without active-matrix or passive matrix, and that all big OLED screens from Sony devices are not AMOLED and are 100% percent OLED. These silly claims are "unfounded" and "illogical". All OLED screens that are in the market right nowand will be, and the ones that had been in before are all AMOLED. Every display screen whether LCD, CRT or Plasma uses addressing schemes. In the case of OLED, only Matrix addressing is can be used, which is either active-matrix or passive-matrix. But as we all know, active-matrix is the the best option for high resolution and big displays as PMOLED, due to huge power requirement is quite hard to make. What I saying are well-established fact. And because I work as an engineer in a company who supply parts of OLED screens. So I just can't help but really laugh everytime I hear the 100% percent OLEd screen and technique.

I apologize if I brought up that OLED screen issue again. I just really cannot take the wort1000's silly beliefs of an otherwise well-established fact!A

Well go and discuss it using your PM's. Think about the quality of the thread and what's good for the forum as a whole.

This screen discussion is absolutely ridiculous. Very annoying, and far beyond pointless. Please move it somewhere else.

Well, why didn't you guys just pm me to inform me that it would be better to continue this by sending private message to wort1000? Actually your recent posts telling us to stop arguing and continue our discussion in another thread and your complains that our discussion is tiring are much more "irrelevant" to the rumour thread, and more appropriate to send as pm! You guys should practice what you preach!

... i said to send this ridiculousness to PM days ago.... sigh.

I'm looking forward to the hayabusa announcement... but more interested in what Mint really is. i really want a new phone since my x10 is just feeling ancient these days. not to mention the dip it took in some water has really affected its functionality some.

i hope hayabusa or mint are devices that will interest me. they should be the first of the SONY developed devices, right? I wish they had released a device with a combination of the XS and XP features into one spectacular package. That'd be ideal for me.

Here's hoping!

Yes the Hayabusa will be the first "SONY" device. If you noticed in the EXIF data of the leaked pics, it says "Sony" under manufacturer and not "Sony Ericsson" as is the case with Xperia S.

Also apparently the design is more "Sony Style" on Hayabusa.

Thought I'd share some fresh rumors here .

There are rumors going around on Chinese forums about LT30i, which should be the Mint.

Rumored specs (though they really seem a little over optimistic)

Qualcomm S4 Krait CPU
2 GB RAM
5 inch 1080p Screen

And LT29i Hayabusa is said to have a 4.3 inch screen and not 4.55 as rumored earlier. So that would mean its the Hayabusa that will feature an AMOLED screen.

Also Ray 2
3.7 inch screen qHD resolution
1 GB RAM
Dual Core

And by next year - 2013 Sony will launch one or two XPERIA models with Qualcomm S4 krait 2.5 Ghz Quad Core CPU with Adreno 320 GPU.

shouldn't lt30i be release next year, 2013? I thought that was the new system, maybe they changed it again.

There is no number left really starting with 2 after 29 which is for Hayabusa so of course they had to go for 30

Finally S(E) will have something good to compete with. Hayabusa will be equal to SGSIII and one X. I really hope the build quality is good too.

Also 4.3 inch screen with on screen buttons will be small. Maybe the chinese guys misunderstood it, galaxy nexus has 4.5 but with on screen buttons it is "4.3"ish

According to this Hayabusa cant have an amoled panel

http://www.oled-info.com/auo-[....]anel-specs-and-prices-revealed

"AUO will soon start producing 4" to 5" AMOLED panels (Q2 2012), aimed toward smartphone applications. Today Digitimes reveals some details about their first panels, the 4.3" qHD ones. "

Can you please shut your childish mouth for ones?
It's unbelievable you keep going on, and if you can't spell my nickname correctly don't put provocative nickname on this forum.

I already debunked your stupid claim, Active Matrix IS NOT OLED!!!! when are you going to accept that.
You self need practice what ACTIVE MATRIX is. So stop with that please, people don't want to read this about our disagreement between Oled en Active Matrix discussion.
