I and my father are proud owners of a new Archos ARNOVA 10 G2 tablet. But there is one major problem - it doesn't come with a build-in Android Market, so we don't have access even to the free apps in it. We are searching for some good QR code and bar code readers. After a short research, we came up with these suggestions - BeeTagg QR Reader and i-nigma Barcode Scanner . They both are free from Android Market, but, as I already said, we don't have access to it and can't get them. I tried to find them elsewhere but with no luck. So could someone download them with his/her android phone and upload to 4shared or Mediafire for example? We would be very thankful for your help! Also, if anyone has some better suggestions for a QR code reader for that tablet, write them here!

If you google the name of the app and follow it with '.apk' then it should come up with ones people have uploaded, so 'QR Reader.apk' which links to here (check the permissions when installing it to make sure its not wanting to send sms or make calls etc. like a doggy app)

That one doesn't install. The one you've posted is QuickMark Barcode Scanner and it's old version. I downloaded the latest version from its official site, but it doesn't install either.
That tablet doesn't have phone capabilities, so there's no way an application to send a SMS or make a phone call.

Well have a google search yourself and see what comes up, if you want a recent version check what the current version is on the Android Market website and also type it in with the name of the app. And yeah forgot you were asking about a tablet.

I don't think the Archos tablet are compatible with the Android Compatibility Definition (PDF). Even Google has set some requirements to have access to their Android services. Not meeting these requirements prevents the Archos from accessing the Android Market |

I already said that I don't have access to Android Market from the tablet. I found these two applications there ( with the PC version of the market ), but I can't download them from there. Furthermore, I searched around for them in Google and many file sharing sites, but without any success. It seems that it's much easier to find a cracked paid application than a free one. Damn... And that's the reason I am asking here for help.

@mediar: Try enabling unknown sources:
Settings--->Applications--->Unknown sources... then try to install the latest version again...
Let us know if it worked...

I don't see such an option in the Settings >> Applications menu.

Why should everything be that hard? The problem is not that I can't install that single app! The problem is that I can't find the .apks of the rest! So I was asking if someone can send them to me, in case it's possible...
