Thanks!
I just love this phone and am looking forward to getting it.
I suppose being a Motorola we shouldn't expect too much from the camera.
It is still a great phone nonetheless.

The ZN5 was a decent camera. How is that build quality they shouted about?? How is the screen?? I cannot tell the photo quality as I am on my mobile now

Yes, the ZN5 was the only Moto that broke the tradition of average camera performance by Motorola. It would've been nice if they had help from Kodak again on this one.

Now in all fairness I just got the phone today so didn't "try" real hard to get the best photo quality possible.... just took a few quick photos to see how they came out. Not very excited with the results....
The build quality however is OUTSTANDING!!! and I poured a whole bottle of water over the phone and it still works great.
Don't like the memory card slot, its VERY hard to get into and I often swap cards from phone to phone as I own many! Very bad design.
Not gonna give up my N8 anytime soon for it as my primary device but will indeed try to take some better pictures tomorrow to give it a second chance.

Ah mind you perhaps a silly question in such a thin device. Compromises. Does not look as though if you tried you could find where to get that back off anyway. Still nice phone. The top part where camera is reminds me of them old Sony Ericsson or Samsung slider phones with the camera on the back of the slider itself.

@mlife
This is the most important aspect after the build quality for me: how is the call quality? I still own the Razr V8 and it is exceptional in that field and I am hoping that this new Razr is even better.
Thanks in advance!

Its on par with with my original Samsung Galaxy S.... one thing I did notice however is that when I woke up this morniing, my batter is still about half charged after using it pretty excitedly most of yesterday.

I am fussy over call quality too. Whenbi had the Moto Defy it had exceptionally loud and crisp call clarity. Motorola is like Nokia in that respect

I take it you are pleased with the battery performance judging by what you are saying about using the phone extensively yesterday?
@Bono
I thought Moto went ahead of everybody with their call quality when they came up with the 'Clear Talk' and then 'Crystal Talk 2'. But, as with almost everything, the other manufacturers caught up and the playing fields are somewhat level.
