Right so after apple's disappointing announcement im on the market for a new phone, either the HTC Sensation, the XE or the Samsung Galaxy S 2.

Any advice from people who have had both?

How about holding out a bit for the beast that will be the 'Galaxy Nexus'?!

Scrap that, just had a nosey at the most recent posts so see you've already taken the plunge... I'm definitely with Badassmam though...

lol all these comments are quite funny

besides I had the choice to buy both phones but for me
the HTC felt better built and it felt right in my hand!

the galaxy was to big in my hand, lagged that expensive feel (felt plasticy)
and the menu system seemed very awkward!

btw both handsets there isn't much difference really the Samsung may have
slightley better display whereas the HTC has better resolution allowing it to view
small text better but there isn't much in terms of both!

btw p9 glad to have been of help to you

Thanks everyone, i am very happy with it, the size will take some getting used to as i had a BB 9700 before which was small but its just a matter of time.

First HTC and Android phone and my worries on it lagging have not materialized.

Now just waiting on my headphones as its going to be used as i iPod too.

Slight worry is that the batter does not last for a long time at all, charged over night and now its on about 30%. I hope that once i stop playing with it constantly it will last a whole day at least.

Battery life will improve over the first few cycles, but it definitely wont be as good as the BB... Saying that, the new BB Bold has similar battery life to the Android phones I have had... Mine was off the charger at about 7am this morning and it died at about 8pm, wouldnt mind if it was on par with the Androids in all other areas, but alas no...

I hate the damn thing...

The Desire HD was the biggest offender, a hugeass 4.3inch display with 1230mAh battery, most shocking match up I've ever seen since the N95-1 and its 950mAh battery.
They finaly hit the sweet spot with the Sensation XE, giving it a 4.3inch display but with 1730mAh battery, larger than even the Galaxy SII battery, I expect the Senation XE to give me better battery life than my X10 which has been good for a Android phone.

Indeed that is a massive battery in that Atrix, they really set the bar.

If you count the Samsung Galaxy Note as a phone then it has the largest at 2500mAh: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note-4135.php

Stock battery on my Sensation took about 3-4 cycles before the charge got better!

it depends on how you use the phone I have days whereas im constantley using it and it
needs re-charged at end of the day, other days it lasts longer if use it less or wards lol

There was a time I would have found the S II too big but now I am fine with it. Would love to have a G Note
