Hey all

Well, my 3 months europ trip is slowly coming to an end, my last stop will be London for a few days...

What area is best? I will staying in a hostel for at least a couple nights, and then possibly a hotel for my very last night, just so I can have a good sleep before flying out and organise myself properly!

Ideally id like something central, with all things to see easily accessible, and plenty of shops near by. I want to buy a couple winter things before I head to the freezing canada.

So, thoughts??

O and, if anyone knows, best to buy a phone in London or Germany, im struggling to find where is cheapest in Europe to buy phones! (note, I can claim tax back before i leave the EU)

cheers

Sounds like you've done a fair bit of travelling, how has it been? It sounds like you could do with a rest

When staying in London the tube makes it very easy to get around. I've stayed in Ealing, Hampstead / Belsize Park, Fulham and Brixton and all have been within easy reach of the central London - get an Oyster Card for the tube as it's good value and what you don't use you can be refunded at the end of your trip. I'd book online as it's much cheaper than just turning up on the day.

Hotels

I wouldn't worry too much about the area because as long as its only a handful of tube stops away you should be fine.

The U.K is not the best place to buy cheap phones but if really have to then online is the place to get the best deals but I assume you won't have the time to shop online during your visit so your options are limited to the obvious retail shops like carphonewarehouse
