Motorola XT531 announced

The Motorola XT531 runs on a 800 MHz processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It has a 3.5 inch touch display and a 5 megapixel camera. The mentioned specification will not rise any eyebrows, but if the price is set correctly, it could very well be a smartphone for the masses. Notice the powerfull 1540 mAh battery. Motorola promisses a 8 hour talktime and 28 days standby in 3G mode. Manufactures usually report battery usage in 2G mode which has better talk- and standby time, but these numbers are absolutely very good.

Motorola XT531 has the Moto Switch user interface which makes it possible to seamlessly switch between different setups. For example one mode for personal use, and one for business usage.

XT531 will be named Motorola FIRE XT in Europe and Motorola SPICE XT in Latin America. The Motorola XT531 will be available in both single and dual SIM versions. Only selected markets in Asia will have the dual SIM version.
