I have downloaded the files since Sunday but just have not had the time to install yet. Let me know how it goes. Also this would be my first time installing a ROM this way so I wanted to be certain.

Hobbs right after I responded you message changed. LOL

Sorry about removing my last post. Was reading all the posts in that Resurrection Remix thread and decided to cancel my download.Doesnt sound to me like its bug free yet and I have a perfectly working stock rom now so it would be stupid to replace it with a buggy rom.
And the problem with Resurrection Remix is today you install the v1.0 Pro rom and next week you have to do it all over again with lets say v2.0.Hes very trigger happy and not the most patient developer.

Gonna wait for Checkrom ICS.Those guys only release their rom when its finished and been properly baked.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Hobbs I won't bother with updating to Resurrection Pro. I finally got a download of ICS Poland version. Will go with that for now.

Just flashed Resurrection Remix ICS v.1.0 and the Siyah 3.0 kernel on my S2.
Will test and let you know how it is.
If you going to do it make sure you read all the instructions properly because after installing it I tried to get into CMW Recovery and found myself in the Android Stock Recovery.

(On 1st page of Resurrection Remix thread after ROM installation instructions)
NOTE: İF YOU WANT FLASH SOMETHİNG FROM CWM RECOVERY FİRST YOU MUST İNSTALL CWM.ZİP FROM STOCK RECOVERY MOD(APPLY UPDATE FROM EXTERNAL STORAGE AND CHOOSE CWM.ZİP AND İNSTALL)
AND NOW TOUCH RECOVERY MODE WİLL APPEAR THAN YOU CAN FLASH ZİP FİLES

You then gotta flash the CMW.zip in the Android Stock Recovery from your external SD card which then switches into a Touch CMW Recovery instead of using the hardware keys to navigate.
It all got a little confusing for me because I didnt read the instructions (thought my CMW Recovery would still be there after the install).
Everythings cool now because after installing the Siyah kernel CMW Recovery is back in action.

I have read the instructions several times and somehow I still think that I have missed something. I have not tried to install it though.
I am going to stay with my current ROM for a while.

Let me know how it goes.

Been using the Resurrection Remix ICS PRO v 1.1 now for 3 days and it is a really good rom.(whatever you read on that thread take with a pinch of salt.Half those people don't know what the hell they are doing and therefor are left with a big fat mess.) I've had zero problems.

After installing Siyahs latest v3.0rc2+ kernel I'm also getting really good benchmarks with Quadrant.

@Hobbs
how does it compare to CHECKROM revo Hd? I haven't upgraded to ics yet as I don't want to risk losing the speed and smoothness of this rom

Does anyone know where I can get the unbranded UK (XEU) ICS firmware from ? Kies is still telling me I've got the latest UK firmware. My sgs2 is still on 2.3.4. Have looked on samobile and xda but can't find anything.

It would appear that XEU sim free handsets will be back of the queue

never thought branded handsets would get updates first

It's been a while since I've used the Checkrom Revo HD so I'm finding it a bit hard to compare. Why don't you CWM backup your Checkrom rom and give Resurrection a tryout. If you don't like it,restore.
