No it's fine. Who says that?? The screen is a clear & bright as the Mini & brighter than the Neo screen. Here are my pics of my Mini Pro. Do bear in mind most camera shots are hard to get the screen looking it's best. But the screen is good in sunlight(not quite on the same par as Arc)but still good. And colours are saturated.

It's weighty & feels solid I prefer this handset to the Arc,Neo & Mini. But that's just me I like the keyboard. Viewing angles are good too but as I said camera shots I did, I could not reflect this. Oh,I forgot to mention zero lag whatsoever

It's a nice looking handset that is for sure, even though it is a bit too small for my liking. Like the White and chrome combination to it.
Xperia S in white ROCKS!!

Is the screen as disappointing as they make out??

Screen is excellent imo. I have the brightness setting at its lowest to maximize battery life, and have no problem reading it. In sunlight I turn the brightness up though. (There is an widget on the phone so you can change this setting in one click)

You cannot see any keypad light in direct sunlight mate Yes,it's true but you don't need keypad light in sunlight As for the keypad backlight it's not the brightest but in the dark it's perfectly usable & can be seen fine. Only thing I do not like is the keypad light goes off too quickly when no keys are pressed. If you think the camera is poor then go see my pics they are ok not the best out there but still very good for most. Overall the handset is great to use, fast solid & so far reliable. I recommend it over the Mini anyday And when Phone Arena say the web browsing is not so good on small screen. What bull shit. I have big hands & I was able to use the older smaller Mini's ok. And the 3 inches on this device is fine I have no issues viewing anything. Just typical reviewers moaning that the screen is not 5 inches I mean duh come on it's not called a Mini phone for nothing

Once you get used to the keyboard, you won't need to see it.

I haven't seen a Mini Pro in the market section. Anybody willing to sell theirs?

@Bonovox, isn't the keypad backlight tied to the light sensor like on the older X10 Mini Pro?

I think so not sure will have to look again. But I have to say using the new Mini Pro compared to the old one its worth the upgrade for sure.
