I eat my words about Sony's Exmor R CMOS sensor. I recently bought a 16.2 mega pixel Sony camera with Full HD video. This is a shot taken & even the sky was black but it picks up so much light & detailing is good. Sorry I know it's not taken with Arc

Which did you get Bono? I just got a Sony Cybershot HX9V, I have got the HX5V too the one before. I use to go for T-series as they are slim and compact for taking out at night but the T-series is no good for taking night time shots as theres too much noise and the H-series is much better and fractionally bigger but with much more features i.e GPS etc.

I got the HX7 its stunning absolutely love it. The full HD video is like nothing I seen before. I don't go for them cameras with folded optics they produce poorer photos imo. I never liked the HX5 the screen was poor.

The older HX5 V has better screen than T-series. I think the photos are good on all the H-series models, video is excellent too with the stabilized capture. I got a lot of excellent photos and HD videos taken with the H. Wish I had taken it to a big party I was at in Prague than my taking my Sony Ericsson at the time video would of been a million times better than what my Xperia at the time takes.
All these Arc photos look good however.
