Normal Mode.
Night Mode.
Can spot the difference?? During Night mode the camera changes ISO to 500 and reduced shutter speed to 1/6 of a second. I think still able to handheld if you have very stable hands. If not, use touch focus due to the very small camera shutter button. |

Nice pics but yes, with these conditions and night mode you must have very steady hands.

Gsmarena review says the camera suffers with purple fringing. Is that really true???? |

I don't have one, but I've seen all the photos in the Photos section and I've only seen a little bit of it at 100% in one photo. It won't be a problem if you get one, the camera looks very good.
Great shots davidski keep them coming, do more nice car shots

You can remove purple fringing with Adobe Photo shop anyway or any photo editing software. Having steady hands is good yes but if you can rest the camera on a stable surface when holding it all the better. I can see it's sharper in night mode but I have seen other camera phones do just as good

The camera is very good but not the massive leap forward from x10. Although it's stunningly fast in action. As for Exmor it is not something I see as improving photos in low light. CMOS sensors traditionally produce more noise.

Hey DavidSic,
These shots are done in auto mode with no fiddling of settings??? Plus your rock steady hands
I just reserved one and will be launched tomorrow here in Canada, I hate seeing such good pictures, making me spend money. I gave up m x10 due to in call volume issues and now I will ditch my iphone 4 for this.
Great shots.... |

@Davidsic
All your photos are good. Can you confirm if there is any image stabilization with taking photo stills? I didn't see any when I had a play with the Arc. I know there is when taking video which is good.
