Oh Dear masseur well you sorted it out atleast!
I have 300mins unlim texts and 500mb data on my plan £17.25 and £20.25 after VAT.
I don't use anything too much but lately the data is just going down so quick ive got 92% outta 100% till Midnight sat!
what VF told me was if you go over you get 500mb added for a fiver tut...
whats the point of that when im nearly at the end of my allowance and beginning new month! 
darm VF need to up that Data why are they so behind 
BTW I came across a Sony PSP at work Saturday its was the one before they changed it into the Go,
it reminded me of this phone cos of the plasticy look.
ive got one of the first PSPs got from a member of here many yrs ago now

Some reviewers have complained that the screen brightness on the Play is too low. Yet I seen a working one in Carphone on a Xperia stand & it looked good to me. I upped the brightness on it

Just received mine - at long last. Impressed so far, although I've not really had a chance to play with it properly yet.

Just received my white dock
Feels solid and heavy. It comes with a charger and a jack cable (male/male)
When you plug the Xperia Play to it, it automatically launches the "Clock" application.
Very pleased with it!

What's strange though is that although the screen it's not as bright as the X10 it's the same trans-reflective one.
I'm currently sat out in the sun and can read the screen perfectly.

How is the sound when it's in the dock? Are the stereo speakers muffled?

@goldenface congrats enjoy your new toy. I knew screen would be fine cos so many video reviews to me looked fine. Then I seen it in Carphone store. People just nit picking.

Hey All,Xperia Play is going to hit the shelves this months. this phone has got an excellent feature of playstation which is a boon for all gamers. You will have 6 pre-loaded games and other 50 is available on PlayStation Suite Store. Gameloft has plans to unleash an exclusive action-adventure packed Xperia Play game called BackStab .
This game is set in the Caribbean pomising an "epic story of revenge" in 18th century.
This game will come on the handset only for a month anf aterwards will move towards other Android Smartphones.

There are no speakers in the dock.
I haven't plugged the jack to my speakers
Have just installed Backstab. It is by far the best game until now on the Play.
Visually it's great. Playing it is another story as I find it difficult to use the analog touchpads...
But I recommend it if you like this type of games!
All downloaded games get listed in the Xperia Play games center.
Strangely, Backstab is listed also in "Playstation Pocket" along with playstation 1 games...

No I mean, the speakers on the Play are on the bottom / rear of the phone when the phone is horizontal.
Is the sound still audible when the phone is placed in the dock?

I have just tested the sound: something strange happens.
when you plug the Play, the sound kind of shifts to up/rear
So it is still very good!
I know it's weird, can someone confirm here??

4 days and 5 hours standby time (still got 6 %)
3 hours of display usage (about an hour playing, 30 minutes listening to music)
9 hours of Wifi (surfing the web, downloading games, more then 1.5 Gb)
30 minutes talk time
This phone is really WOW !
