Thanks, that would be it 30K in PHP - definitely the high end of the SE phone price spectrum. I've already had 2 people suggest I get the Play instead of the Neo but am hesitant. The emphasis on games might have made browsing& internet experience in general less pleasant. Camera is definitely inferior to the Neo/Arc too. |

Thanks Bono, great shot. The Play definitely looks classy & finely made. Hope the controls stand up to heavy game play though.

That's due to a GPRS/EDGE connection, all phones do that, you are only able to surf the web and be on a phone call when in 3G/HSDPA.

But this was not an issue in my MiniPro that I used previously. Is the HW in PLAY not capable of what the MiniPro could perform? |

Bootloader unlocking for new Xperia phones available in “upcoming weeks”
Now that the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc and Xperia PLAY phones are released, some will now turn attention to custom ROMs and getting the bootloader unlocked. In SE’s original announcement, no timeline was given, however developer Karl-Johan Dahlström followed up in the comments section recently and said that they hope to have the bootloader site “up and running in the upcoming weeks.”
The website will be used to unlock the bootloader by retrieving an unlock bootloader key once you’ve entered the IMEI number of your handset. This key will then be used in Fastboot where the actual unlock sequence will be performed. SE is promising more detailed instructions later and we’ll keep you posted once it’s up and running.

These are the Verizon version ads, you can see the stock android Play at the end.
Unlike the Kristen Schaal series where we could see the SE launcher at the end of the video.

Continue viewing more pics on photo gallery here facebook.com/sonyericssonsverige There are also videos of the continuing campaign Sony Ericsson Xperia play to further promote the smartphone games, videos are a little more “normal”compared to the scary nature than the previous videos, but worth watching anyway, because of some time to here, the Sony Ericsson is making promo video very hilarious and somewhat comical, well all about this things are marketing isn’t. See where the car came to stop! in the streets, in a central square of Sweden and nailed to the floor of a square! awesome. The videos have a focus for the worldwide commercial market oriented to U.S. market and European market.
