Does the neo have any build quality issues? I really need to know it because I can get it for a cheaper price of 225euro but without warranty. |

what do you guys think about the idea of me buying a new Xperia Pro for 300 euro, and 2 years warranty, BUT the phone is from who knows where, unlocked and unbranded (they import it from other countries that have them already, but they don't have any branding printed on the case). Still it is brand new...
It's not the price I am worried about, 300e seems ok for this phone, but the fact that it is from another country and unbranded...
EDIT: also i see taht Bono is using an Xperia Pro (signature). What can you say about the phone? Good, bad? zippy, laggy..?
Also video and picture quality? (maybe upload some sample pix)

Its nice phone as neo. Its very similar to that. No problem with performance, camera sound. All are fine. The keypad is so comfortable. Price seems quite expensive against neo. |

I have used it since June
My biggest problem is....I found dust underneath my camera module lens in Sept!!!
that is the most ridiculous finding in getting dust....
for Bonovox, I think he suffer from dust under the touch screen.
for me this is bad quality in building the phone especially to have dust under camera lens because the lens is small and it didn't subject to excessive bending/ twisting of the phone when we use it. Normally how dust get under touch panel is due to deformation/ twist/ bending on the phone that give chance for dust/ particle to go between touch screen and LCD (especially for those phone that never laminate touch screen and LCD together with optical clear adhesive)
another item I notice is the squeaking on my phone battery cover but it is not that much after a while.
Even with this agony I have on the camera dust/ particle problem. I am ok with the phone. Its just at the right size. |

It's now down to the Xperia Pro and the Galaxy S2... Started at 50-50% for both phones, but now S2 got 60% because of the Uber video recording, the better picture quality and functions, + the faster GPU and CPUs. But it lacks the physical qwerty... the ONLY thing that still makes me think about the Pro.
Also the price is almost the same in Romania for the 2. So samsung is a better buy, and will be able to re-sell it with minimum $ loss if anything better comes out.
Now that SE is gone and Sony has all the power, they will make better phones. But only next year :/
Anyone had any experience with the S2 and Arc or Neo or Pro?
This is what made me choose the S2 (but still not late to come back t the Pro if someone can convince me):

rotfl Bonovox )
When will you get your S2? Waiting for a comparison between the two (I know the S2 wins in every possible way except text input... maybe even at that if you are elite with Swype - but still...)
I have ~1 month to decide if it will be X Pro or S2...

Well, I used the Galaxy S II since May until last week, when I bought a silver Xperia pro and I've thrown the S II in a drawer, to have some rest . I know the S II has much better specs, but I was using the blogger app on the phone and it was a real p.i.t.a. to write longer texts on the S II, so I decided a needed a qwerty. I used swype, it was fast, but still a lot of mistakes. I have to say that I like the Xperia pro very much. It seems small after the S II, it is heavier, but I like its feel in the hand. It's a little slippery, but I didn't drop it yet. The keyboard, well that's a real joy to use. On the S II the virtual keyboard used to take up 3/4 of the screen, which was kind of annoying, that sensation is gone now with the Xperia pro. I was afraid mobile internet will be slower, given that S II supports download speeds up to 21 MB/s vs 7.2 for the SE, but there is no difference in real life. I used to see the H+ sign on the S II, signaling higher available speeds, but the tests I have done with speedtest have never shown more that 5.something MB/s, which is also reachable with the Xperia. Other than that, I am quite satisfied using this little not-very-top-of-the-line-specs phone, even if it follows the "king" S II. |
