In all fairness I've found both the X10 and Arc to have fantastic battery life. Arc is even better.

The x10 did not have fantastic battery life. So far NO Android device can be considered as having FANTASTIC battery life.

Until some sort of new or better battery technology is introduced that does not require a phone to be bigger, then Android devices or even Windows devices battery life will be always average. It's a shame cos I had a Nokia Symbian E5-00 once & the battery on that with heavy usage lasted for 5 days with 3G always on.

Actually I think it's not just the battery that needs improving but screen efficiency. The bigger the screen of the phone the worse the perceived battery life is. When I look at the usage stats of my battery it is mostly the screen draining the battery. Even if it's sat idle most of the day.

To be honest, though, I'm just about happy with the way my arc battery performs, X10 was dreadful with official FW, better with a few of the custom ROMs, but arc is about as good as it gets in the big touchscreen world.

Finaly 2.3.3 installed on my Arc in Norway. Installed with use of SEUS. PC Companion did offer it, but didn't install it.

I've got a question about some weird behaviour.

When I connect my arc with my pc (using supplied cable), the touch screen starts acting up (not responding properly to touches, and generating its own events resulting in apps popping up and once even messages being deleted.
Is this a grounding issue? (my pc is grounded though) There are no problems with my ipad when connected, but my satnav shows similar behaviour.
Any suggestions on how to solve this? (other than buy a new computer )

Thanks

I noticed that if you remove the battery out, the time and date on the phone would be reset when you turn on the phone. Wondering is everyone having the same issue if u taken the battery out or it is just mine?

Also, not sure why when using stock launcher, the app and widget icons on homepage doesn't align in straight line .........anyway to arrange it to align properly? Thanks

@Webalistic Could you tell us any more about this strange behaviour? Does it happen on a friend's PC? Are you near any strong magnetic fields (try putting the phone on a different part of your desk or away from the desk completely)? Are you leaning it on stuff (easy to do)?

@Caff111 The battery thing is a bit weird. I guess that would happen if you took he battery out and left it for a while but shouldn't happen if you just swap the battery over. I don't use the stock launcher, do you have any pics of the misalignment you see?

I'm not sure what more to tell. Just that when connected to my pc, the touch bit starts getting crazy. It then takes about 20 attempts to unlock the screen and random touch events are generated so apps start up and buttons get pressed. My pc has a standard usb 2 port in the front. looking at the usb properties, the device seems to draw about 250ma of current, so I cannot imagine it being under powered. Wifi stuff is in the next room.
I get the same behaviour on an external, powered usb hub.
Could it be a grounding problem?
